My three children attend Lakemont and I couldn't ask for a better school for my kids. We all love the principal, teachers and staff. They are wonderful!
Cannot imagine how the school or the staff could be any better.
1. Lakemont has a curriculum that is set up so that each child will learn with other students comparable to themselves. Therefore the students who excel in certain subjects won't be held back in their learning while other students catch up. 2. The teachers and staff are always helpful and I have always felt that my questions and/or concerns were taken seriously and that I wasn't wasting anyone's time. 3. The parent involvement at Lakemont is great! It seems as though all the parents care about their childs education and they are willing to help out wherever needed.
Lakemont is a wonderful school! I attended Lakemont as a child and I am proud to say that my children have the opportunity to do so as well. The teachers and the staff are wonderful, and they have a great curriculum! You couldn't ask for anything more!!
This is such a wondeful school my 2 boys and I love it so. You can almost say that they go to a private school. The teacher are all wonderful. Dr. Stephens... boy ya cant ask for anything better. She is juat a caring person yet tough.I thank her for all her help and I just have to say Mr. Seigal is the best...thats from my sons along with myself. Keep up the great work Lakemont I cant wait for our new school next year.
My family moved here from another state. My second grade son had attended a private school back in our old state and we were cautiously optimistic about coming to Lakemont. We had heard so many wonderful things about the school and the reviews I had read made me want to send our child to Lakemont. WHAT A GREAT DECISION WE MADE!!!! My child is extremely happy at Lakemont and he is doing very well. His teacher is wonderful, and the Principal knows me by name, as do many of the administrators. We're so high on Lakemont and we look for many wonderful years there, as our daughter is set to attend next year.
I don't have anything to compare it to, but my son and I love Lakemont. Everyone at the school really seems to have 'Lakemont pride'. All the teachers I have dealt with are great, there are lots of volunteering opportunities, and there are TONS of extracurricular activities going on. Everything from book fairs to running club to showing off the kids' art at the Winter Park Christmas tree. They even hand out flyers for stuff that's not going on at the school - for example, a free 'fun run' or a Junior Magic basketball camp. They send out monthly newsletters and periodically will call with reminders about events or anything you need to know. The car riders' drop off and pick up is so efficient, it's unbelievable that this school is run by the government! They do focus a lot on testing, but so far I have no complaints.
Lakemont is like a private school without the cost. The staff is wonderful and the teachers are excellent. There is alot of activities after school, you just have to be involved. We have been involved with Lakemont for the past 6 years and have more to go. We feel that it is a great school.
I found this school was very FCAT driven and i did not feel that they were very intouch with their students.
Lakemont I can't say enough about the quality of teachers and the structure of the programs.
