The information you provide is extremely valuable in helping parents and students learn more about your
school, so thanks for taking the time!
The new principal lacks experience and training. He constantly invited me to compare my personal budget to his personal budget. The conversation was lengthy, absurd and unnecessary. What do we as parents do when the administration appoints sub par leaders over our schools?
Sounds like this is a private school? I would have a meeting with whoever hired the principal and discuss, in a busnesslike manner, your concerns regarding his qualifications. As far as personal budgets are concerned, if he continues to ask you for a comparison, I'd tell him that your budget is no concern of his, and vice versa.14211
MSMomm, "Sounds like this is a private school?" Where did THAT come from? Do you truly think that public schools never hire obnoxious rude principals?14210
buckaroo: I have two children, one in private school, the other in public school. I was merely asking for clarification, and giving my suggestion, which could be applied to either situation.14209
I agree your finances is none of the concern of this principle.I wouldn't have even went tid for tat with this guy! your children is the only subject and how there progress is important to the school and the parents or parent.I wouldnt even take that kind of call from him.I have never heard such a thing.Tell this man it's really not his bussiness and you will only speak to him when it concern's your kids point blank!Next time if he does this again as far as your finances ,tell him if he's going to pay your bills you'll tell him all about it!Sorry couldnt help it! GOOD LUCK with this guy. HOPE!14208
If this is a public school, you should contact the asst. superintendent or the superintendent immediately! If you are not satisfied with their response, I would also contact board members since they have the final say on who is hired in schools. Administrators must know how to communicate with parents, regardless of the issue.14207
