Great School! Mrs. Nunez's spanish immersion trip to San Juan was outstanding. we had so much fun and the students learned so much about the spanish culture. Mrs. Handy the school nurse is another great asset to WMS. she is always so helpful and caring. I would highly recommend this school if you live in south dekalb and want school that produces results 100% pass on all subjects CRCT.

OMG are you kidding me already. There is no other school like this one. It is beautiful inside and out and guess what? it is not a title one school. I am a parent and whatever Dr. Crum needs we will make it happen. You have to come visit. Take a look at the court yard, the grounds, the inside. Plants are all over the place. Three of the best custodians in the world. The best gifted certified teachers. What can I say. They have a leadership academy and I must tell you, you see it and you feel it. My son went to private school last year and they can not hold a flame to what Wadsworth has done. They went to Puerto Rico! OMG are you kidding me already!

Wadsworth is the best school experience my son has ever had. I only wished the merger would have taken place because now there is a struggle to find a school that will give the same loyalty. The teachers are real world and my son is so excited to be there. His learning has caused hime to be confident in himself and I love to see that. We will really miss the school since this is his last year in 6th grade. I wish there were more schools like Wadsworth. Wadsworth now Wadsworth forever!

I know that my review is a little late; however, WMSHA is an outstanding school and one of Dekalb premier schools. My daughter is now 8th grade and attended WMSHA during her 6th grade school year. It was such a pleasure. It was the first time in her Dekalb Co. school attendance history that she was happy with the entire experience. I wish WMSHA was available to her during 4th and 5th grade as well. Dr. Crum and Mr. Watkins are both the epitome of stellar educators. Kudos to Wadsworth. It was an outstanding experience my family.

This is my first year at Wadsworth and I really like it. We have band and spanish everyday. I can now say the pledge in 2 different languages. My teacher is the best. she really helps us with our work and shows us different ways to learn great stuff. Math is hard, but I have tutorial on Tuesday to help me. We are supposed to go on a trip to rock eagle and other interesting places. I am really excited about my new school.

My child attended this school from 4th thru 6th grade and graduated in 2011. The teachers, principals, and staff are excellent. Dr. Crum and Mr. Watkins are the best principal and assistant principal I have ever met. They truly care about the kids. Kudos to the teachers also! The material taught and the way in which they engaged the children with critical thinking was awesome. My child learned how to speak Spanish and enjoys it so much that he now engages Latin people in conversations whenever he is meets them. Additionally, it was awesome to hear him play his instrument at the graduation! They sounded like one of the college bands. If this school could go up to 12th grade, I would have let him remain there.

Wadsworth Magnet is a great school for gifted and high achiever students to learn alongside students who have the same drive and desire to learn as they do, however the teachers have very little understanding abouthow gifted children learn and the administration is incompetent at best. The principal is a walking , talking, minstrel show with little to no leadership skills and even less knowledge of anything instrctionally related. This school is a great idea in theory, but will never work with the current staff in place.

My daughter attended Wadsworth Magnet School last year and after years of being either #1 or 2 in her class at her previous school, she's now in a class of children who all have a yearning for education. Though she was accepted into other schools, we decided Wadsworth was best because it is a school for "high achievers" and because it is in our community.
