Chattahoochee elementary is a wonderful school, kids are expose to a worldly environment with so many nationalities represented in the classroom everyday. Is an example of what American schools should be like. Focusing mainly in academics and the children's unique needs. Mr. Lee pays special one to one atencion to the children and is very much involved with their progress at all times. I'm so happy we chose to live here because my daughter is growing up in a great community with solid values and teachers that go out of their way to meet my child's academic needs.

We are very happy with the school overall. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mr. Lee the principal is very dedicated to the children and is always open to fresh ideas on how to motivate the children to improve in all areas of their education. The teachers are so dedicated to the children, the Kindergarten teachers work very hard to include fun and play into the learning process. My child loves to go to school and feels valued by her teachers. The PTA is strong and active, they make parent involvement fun and easy. The entire school is very inclusive with all of the programs and extra curricular activities, it serves to bridge the gap between family, fun and education not being just in the classroom, but in all facets of a student/family's life.

Not so great school. Worry too much on the student's lateness and not on the student's performance. Lack of encouragement to the kids. Not much Homework .Very disappointed.

Had 2 children there this past year. Though my kids did great, I was disappointed w/ the school overall. Focus was primarily on CRCT and not much creativity with curriculum plans. Felt like a very negative environment from the secretary at the front atrium who never went out of her way to be pleasant, all the way to the music teacher who told my daughters class they would get prize for completing their musical even though they sounded awful. Lots of negatigve comments such as this would be repeated at home. Teachers could really use some fresh ideas- the two teachers my daughters had seemed like they were burned out and didn't have a lot of creativity, energy or praise for the children.

Our experience at Chattahoochee has been great! The Principal, Jeff Lee, did an amazing job in his first year (08-09) & has fired up the PTA, kids and teachers in a way I've never seen them before. This school's PTA is very involved and works hard to support the teachers, who care so much for our kids. The caveat here, of course, is that Chattahoochee, like all schools in the area, has to conform to the rules set by the state. The state's continuing failure to recognize children's cognitive abilities (resulting in inappropriately advanced curricula), the constant pushing for higher test scores at the expense of creative thinking, and the overbearing strictness regarding attendance policy is only serving to further the difficulty our children have in school. Chattahoochee does have to conform to these policies, yes, but the school community itself is such a wonderful place to be.

Extremely unsupportive of single moms with a learning disabled child. The system is profoundly familial based-not allowing for a diversified vision that incorporates all children. I applaud Principal Lee's efforts but he a way to go; to successfully satisfy the GCPS mission and vision statement. ITs not all about CRCT scores! Learning for all children in all contexts.

Chattahoochee is truly a great school. Principal Lee is new to the school this year and has already had a very positive effect on the spirit of our school. The teachers are excellent. Parents know that their children are learning in this very positive atmosphere.

My children love this school. I have a child in 3rd grade and one in Kindergarten. Both their teachers have been great. I have been able to communicate with them freely about my children's progress and areas that they needed to work on. Both my children are learning more here than they did at their prior schools. I am looking forward to my Pre-K child starting Kindergarten at Chattahoochee next year!
