We are so blessed by this school. We have moved from a different state and this is our second elementary school in Georgia. The whole school runs like a nice family. My two children love to be at school and are very happy at the end of the school day.(They used to get so stressed out at the end of the day at the other school) Sadly, we have to move to different county and we really wish we can pack whole Kingsley Elementary with us. Though we only get to stay for 7 months, we will always treasure the time here. Kingsley is wonderful school with great leadership, loving teacher, caring staffs and happy kids!!!
We LOVE Kingsley Elementary. The parents, students and teachers are all very involved. We have an IEP child receiving some in-classroom accomodations and our other child is in the Discovery program (Gifted). Both of our children are doing extremely well and have had a great experience at school. We could not be happier.
I Love Kingsley. I have three children who are currently attending and my oldest will be completing his 6th year there. Teacher and staff are phenomenal! There are so many teachers who truly care about the success of each an every child. They do their best to work with individual student skills and at the same time foster team camaraderie. Very hands on learning and real life skills. The school is awesome but not perfect..don't know a school that is .. If this school had a need it would be for more science and computer technology and foreign language. There are probably 2-3 teachers in the whole school that are not known for being the most warm and fuzzy ones but 90% of the teachers are fantastic! My children have thrived there! Intense parent involvement too!
Great school. New Principal Dr. Jasmine Smith is doing a great job. Parents are involved in this school!
My child is having a great experience at Kingsley. When I walk in the door, I feel like I'm home. The teachers and staff are so warm and loving. My son has made incredible progress and having a blast at the same time. The parental involvement is fantastic. The new principal is loved by everyone. I feel so fortunate to have found this wonderful school.
It's a 'family.' Everyone has the best interest of the children in mind--faculty, staff, parents alike. Academically, instruction is tweaked to help every student. Engagement-wise, everyone participates! I couldn't ask for a better place for my daughter to be!
We love the school. it is a great family environment for all the kids. It is diverse, so you children will experience a good sense of what the real world is like. We have a huge parental involment and The Kingsley Charter School Council has been named National Parent Group of the YEAR 2008 by PTO Today magazine. That really makes a difference in your child education. Teachers are excellent. There are a lot of activities going on thorugh all the school year. We feel very happy and fortune to belong to this school.
I am a parent that has been associated with Kingsley for 7 years. I still feel that Kingsley is an excellent school. It all balls down to parental involvement. I sit down everyday and review homework and school work. You can not expect the school to do it all. The previous post says 'the basic needs are not met'. What basic needs? My kids' basic needs are being met with a quality education. The previous post says 'the school is suffering due to the demographics of the area.' Is this because minorities (African Americans and Hispanics go to this school)? Well, welcome to the real world!! It is projected Caucasians will no longer be the majority in the United States within the next few years. I still contend Kingsley is an excellent school with dedicated teachers and I am satisfied and proud to send my kids to Kingsley everyday.
Kingley School is struggling with issues related to families whose basic needs are not being met, and this has impacted the flavor of the school and the academic program. Many local families have opted out for private school due to their concerns about the poor quality of the education. A small group of dedicated parents are doing everything they can to keep the school on track, but unfortunately, it appears to be a losing battle. The school is suffering due to the demographics of the area.
We love it at Kingsley. The staff is so dedicated to the children, and the parents are very involved in everything. The school has great pride and a feeling of community. We feel privileged to attend this wonderful school.
