The Principal trots around in her short skirts (that she should not be wearing) and acts like she is the best thing around. She talks about people behind their back if they don't kiss the ground she walks on. All the good teachers are slowly leaving and everyone knows why. This school has went DOWN hill since the new Principal came. She needs to do her job and stop trying to show face all the time. Now she has changed yet another thing. First no fall festival and now Grandparents day. Lay down the power trip and get more appropriate clothing!

There are a handful of really great teachers at this school, that really care about the kids. All the rest scream at them and make them have silent lunch and sit out of recess even if they didn't do anything wrong but some kids in the class got in trouble. My child's teacher has made the comment that they should have silent lunch the rest of the week because it was so nice and quiet. They get NO social time and then they want to take away the one chance they get. I understand school is about learning, but they can't talk in carpool, can't talk before school in the gym, can't talk at breakfast and can't talk at lunch half the time. I agree with the last post about the school changing. This year has been totally different from last year. Slowly but surely we are getting pushed out of this school. Also if you go to pick your child up near dismissal time be prepared to be denied your child. That is unless you are "special". I have been told I have to wait until busses are dismissed. Makes NO sense. They should never deny anyone their child, we were late for an appointment because we had to wait 15 minutes. The rules are different for different people.

This used to be a great school. Things started changing towards the end of last year and this year it is just awful. I know some change can be good, but parents don't feel welcome here anymore and their requests are not being met which is something the school has always done since my kids have attended. I am sad to say that I don't recommend it anymore. We still have 2 more years there, hope they go fast. I am considering private school.

My experience with this school has been great. My child is safe, nurtured, and is learning so much. The school gives off a very positive, creative and exciting impression. They have great policies and procedures and seem to enforce them in a very respectable and fair manner. Their attention to safety and learning are both impressive. Every department seems to do their job full out including the janitors and lunch staff. I am very happy with the quality of education and care my child is receiving.

Jackson Road is a great place for learning. Our students are involved in an array of unique learning activities created to meet their individual needs. We believe what we do in our standard-based classroom each day is 'preparing our students for tomorrow'.

Jackson Road Elementary is a great school! They have attainable high standards set for each grade that encourage each child to strive to be the best. They show genuine concern and care for the children...that includes the entire staff. I've never encountered anyone unpleasant. Everyone is courteous. And I love the way they encourage the children to read.
