I feel that this school was very unorganized, plays FAVOR and if you're not in the INNER CIRCLE, no matter how smart or talented the student is it's hard to feel as if the students are part of the school. Every week it all about MONEY. I have spent so much money through this school it's not funny. The students aren't encouraged, or appreciated. Most of the classes were as if the students were in a barn they were so loud the Teachers has no control.
Overall, I am pleased with Hapeville Middle School. While I am a parent and it is my responsibility to train my child and those in my company, I have no problem with the school that cannot be fixed. For example, the problems with discipline and respect can be thwarted, if not eliminated if the adults in the lives of our children would be consistant in providing a viable example of good behavior. The administration, faculty and staff at Hapeville Charter Middle School do a wonderful job! As a community, parents, guardians, and friends of the school can be most effective in helping the school develop into a more outstanding educational institution by providing positive input and being committed to training children that will develop into exempliary adults

I am sadden by the seventh grader who I think is an intelligent kid, but the diction needs improvement. Please advise all kids that they do not go to a school the attend a school. Please make sure that the kids use all the resources at their disposal and that they should not write a formal message ; in a text message format.

I think its a great school for kids that are in advance classes. I like the smaller classes, where yourm child could get that extra attention they need.

Its a small school with several students with lack of some materials. However the students, parents and teachers make the best of what we have. The students excell well in a variety of subjects. Teachers try to stay in contact with parents as often as they can.

Hapeville is,what I would call a,If-there-is-no-other-school-avalable,school. I have to agree with one of the parents below, there are no buses and if there is they stop at stores and shopping centers which is very unsafe, half the time the parents of the children are not there to get them either. Hapeville can never keep a word they say,for example, they had this dance and it was 5 dollars to go and they said if you paid to get in you get food free and they said it will be pizza, soda and candy, all there was,was caprisuns and pickles. What ashame. The only reason I'd come back is for my friends.

I am in my first year going to the second year of Hapeville Charter and so far i love it and it is probably one of the best schools i've been to, but im not going to say too much cause ive just started in the 6th grade but practically im a 7th grader because it's the end of the school year so yeah. But i can say that some of the teachers for 6th grade will get on your nerves, but after a while you'll get used to them so if you are thinking about joining your child in i would totally recommend other than Renaissance or Sandtown but thats totally your choice. Love my school either way and i plan to be with hapeville till i graduate from HAPEVILLE HIGH LOL HAPEVILLE ALL THE WAY!!

My daughter attended this school for 6th grade and I could not wait to remove her. For the trouble I went to to get her there and back with no viable bus service in my area - It just was not worth it. The teachers are just as comitted as I see in any other SOUTH fulton county schools. But the administratiopn and organization of this school is horrible. It is like a family run business. We paid for and never recieved year books last year. I still call now, over a year later and they give me the run around. Dont waste your time. No music program either. Kept trying to organize a band last year but it never happen. My daughter is better off at Bear Creek. In addition to the fact that I dont have to take her and pick her up all day.

I have to pick up from this school each day, and I find it to be totally unorganized. Some of the teachers don't seem to care much about the students. Picking the children up is dangerous, because of the parking situation. The children are out of control when they hit the front door, just as disrespectful as other children. My greatest pet peeve with is school is the lack of disciplinary procedures. Instead of creating a way to punish children in school for small infractions...they just suspend them. This behavior can really disrupt growing pre teens and send them in the wrong direction. I hope this is the last year for me to come to this school. I'm sure some public schools will be better.
I am in 8th grade in tag and i am here to say this school is just like any old futlton county school. The kids there are disrespectful. There is barely any learning going on the only class i say i learn something in everyday is math class.

i was so excited when my child got accepted into hapeville. coming from camp creek middle i was excited for new and positive change. the open house was great and things seem to be moving in the right direction. what a disappointment this school has been. there is no internal communication. there seem to be major major behavioral problems with children at this school. while they are building a new academy for high schoolers...i think they need to get the 6th grade campus & the 7th and 8th grade campus on track. sad to say it but, i am too looking for another school going into the 2009-2010 school year.

This is a great school. My son has enjoyed his year so far at Hapeville Charter. Like most of South Fulton students kids are below grade level. My student was welcomed with open arms and his 8th grade teachers have been a blessing to him. I would stongly recommend this school to anyone.

HCMS has truly turned out to be a complete disappointment. During open house they provided outstanding communication of their goals and how they intend to achieve them successfully with the students. Now it appears that they are all talk and no bite. They do not inform parents of their children's progress until the last minute. On several occasions I have left messages and e-mails for the principal along with teachers and failed to receive a response. For a charter school I expected more. This year has truly been a waste; my child will be re-enrolling in public school next year.

HCMS is a waste of my time. This school is lack in organization and quality. The teachers here are not truly their for the student they're there for a paycheck and to communicate with other colleagues about other students or teachers.I feel if your in a classroom learning another teacher from a whole different classroom shouldn't be able to walk in the classroom and start a full blown coversation interrupting the students. It seems as the teachers don't want to communicate with the parents because they have to scheldue an appointment. Why do you have to scheldue an appointment to see what your child is learning. The teachers are allowed to talk to the students any way in any tone. This school will be a waste of anybody middle school year.

I recently left hms. I was an 8th grader in the 07-08 year. I really didn't like that school, and i think i wasted my middle school years there. I'm in high school now, and i have to say that school didn't prepare us at all. All the teachers talked about was how they thought it was funny that we could possibly fail because of thre mistakes. I don't recommend anyone sending thre child to this school.
My daughter is in her 3rd year (8th Grade) at Hapeville Charter Middle School. I am somewhat pleased with the school and the environment. But I truly believe this school needs to weed out some of the teachers that are there merely for employment. Some of the teacher's behaviors are petty and immature. Teachers have to want to Teach and Nurture Kids, not see their weakness and simply talk down and pass negative situations from teacher to teacher. This school is headed in the right direction and has a good vision. We as parents have to continue to address the teachers that are in all schools for merely employment and not for the Nurturing of our children !!!

The school is great and the principal is wonderful. I was purchasing uniforms for my child and the principal was there and took out the time to speak with me and addressed the uniform policy with my son. Most principals will turn their heads in public and thats only if they know you're a student a their school.
