This is an excellent school that is totally focused on student success. This school goes beyond the basic classroom to help all students, even outside of school. It is a community.

For a school this size and being the only one in the county I believe it handles itself well. They are trying to get in more opportunities such as AP classes, Joint-enrollment, and ACCEL (college classes) I participated in all of these and thought it furthered me and is still helping me now that I am in college (Pe-med chem/Bio)

The school is very small, students that are in well-to-do families get more attention and are treated better than those who don't...the french program was great as well as the band...but thats where the general niceties end...

children from the more affluent homes are given more consideration and support from the teaching staff and administation in this school. the affluent children are also the ones who excel i sports and extracirricular activities because of this consideration and support which is encouraged by this community.

I thank that this is a verry well handled school. I also happen to thank that some of the teachers are verry good to the students such as, Mrs.Teter and Ms.Gardner.I hope the school stays that way.

Not to be nagging jdhs but the guidance department needs some improving..Major improving. As for teaching staff. Some teachers are great and some do not even belong in a high school teaching. But in other words jdhs is a great place especially test scores and teaching wise. Class of 2004.Charles brown
