My son went here for 1 year and hated it.. Certain teachers are pushing there personal opinions on the students and NOT teaching whats IN THE BOOKS! So.. per my sons request,he is attending another school . I really dont want some butch femnazi pushing her views on communism.. and another teacher preaching about Sharia-Law and praising Ala.. NO THANK YOU.. Also.. if your child is white.. send them to long county. The staff is rude and yes there is alot of favoritism shown here.. He will never return to this school.. EVER!

I agree the band dose not recieve equal funds which are essential to the excellent and growing experience! We are just as important as the football team and the basketball team! Also, favortism is shown often, we werent even congratulated on our 1st place at a recent comppettion but they can sure announce other sports achievements. If you didnt know marching band and band is a sport!

I used to go to Liberty, graduated in 09. I see a lot of people complaining about the dress code. First off, I never had any problems, because I wore the uniform I was supposed to and wore a belt. I didn't cause problems and only had detention once in my 4 years for 3 tardies. First of all, wear the correct uniform. Second, do your work. Third, don't mouth off to the teachers.Four, you bump into someone/they bump into you, say "excuse me" not "excuse you" I have had 0 problems with the teachers in this school. I do think it is a bit unfair how they praise the football and basketball teams and other groups such as the band barely gets any funding. If you are friendly and respect the teachers and do what you're supposed to do, then they will respect you as well.

I currently attend Liberty, and I would have to say that the administrators and some of the teachers focus on the wrong thing. Instead of encouraging a student to attend class and get an education they would rather send you to ISS or give you detention, but their favorite is suspension. It's like they come to work just to write a hundred referrals, most commonly for dress code. Personally I think this whole little uniform situation has gotten completely out of hand. On top of dress code, they care nothing about extracurricular activities unless its football or the boys basketball team. In my point of view they show little intrest in anything girls do in the school. The administrators aren't what I would expect from a person that you are suppose to be able to come to when need help or guidance at all.

this school is unbelievably horrible when it comes to their guidance and discipline issues. the school cares more about giving referrals about stupid uniforms then it does about actually teaching these kids. the uniforms make everything so much harder. they need to get rid of them and go back to normal clothes. it costs me way much more to buy clothes im only gonna wear at school and nowhere else and have to get iss or detention for so much as forgetting to wear a belt, its down right ridiculous. if i had a chose or a say in this school i wouldnt come here or recommend it to noone!

It seems to me that the staff pays more attention to what the children are wearing rather than what they are learning.

The Exagerated dress code does not allow student to focus properly. some are sent to ISS for dress code and their whole day is wasted. i hate the rules and the strictness at that school.

I currently attend this school and I know most people are automatically going to assume 'oh she's just a student who doesn't like school' no that's not what how it is. I believe this school needs help when it comes to the curriculum and extracurriculars. They're the same every year. I'll admit there are some teachers who know what they're doing and how to help the students and I honestly felt like they cared, BUT there are the teachers who constantly catch an attitude with students if they don't get the concept of something fast enough. We ask for help and they make it worse when they explain it. Or they'll say something like 'I've gotten my education. I don't need this, you do.' Or the ever popular 'If you were paying attention you wouldn't have to ask.' when you were so obviously eyeballing the board trying to understand it all.

my children have attended different schools in liberty co. in the 8 years we have been here. i must admit that there are staff members who are concerned with the academic success of your student. however, this system is failing/struggling just as chatham county is. i rarely remember any of my children attending field trips, there isn't a strings program in place in ele. school, the art programs seem to be non-existent && unless you're a member of the PTO/appear at the school 2-5 dys wkly/know someone personally at the school, you won't find much assistance as a parent. look at the spelling of some of the previous students? in ele., 20% of the reading grade was based on how fast the student could read? i can read a DIY auto-repair manual quickly, but does it mean i understand the material? be wise, hire a tutor! ~Sunshyne~

High School is suppose to be one of the best highlights of your light. However, at Liberty County H.S. There are no incentives for academic excellence, nor activities for the students to be enthused about. Yes there are orgainizations but nothing motivating. The Administration needs to come up with programs for the the students to enjoy to enrich the student body. I would personally volunteer to spearhead a Parent Advisory Committee to begin stirring up the pot that has been settling over the years to allowing the students at Liberty Cnty HS an opportunity to enjoy the academic experience as well as the spirit of HS pride.
