I LOVE McGarity Elementary School. The teachers truly care about the performance of every student. The librarian and staff come up with exciting ways to teach the children to learn. Everyone is like a family at McGarity. We are moving on this year to another school in Paulding County due to relocation; however, I will always remember the friends me and my children made at McGarity.

I love Mcgarity. Both of my children attended this school and I absolutely loved everything about the school. The administration and teachers were great. We were so blessed to be a part of the Mcgarity family.

Overall, Mcgarity is a great school. Just like anything else it has a few things that need work. Let's see how our third grade teaching staff can take lead us through the new and rigorous corriculum.

McGarity is Awesome! My son is in the fifth grade and has been there for 4 years. We came from a private Christian school expecting him to be bored in public - not the case at all. Ms. Threadgill (principal) is a God send. The teachers love her, the parents love her and the students love her. Parent involvement is excellent and 3 out of 4 of my sons teachers have been great! The new math/science curriculum lead by Ms. Mullis & Bartron is outstanding! All teachers have been very concerned with preparing students for middle school and beyond. The only bad thing I can say is that the lunchroom has a long way to go to become healthy in my opinion.

I think most children are singled out, was not happy with the way certain situations were handled in class rooms, if a child wasnt catching on quick enough they were simply over looked. The asst prinipal was great very friendly, elpful, understanding. They need more teachers and less students in the class so there are more one one time to help students who fall behind.

Mcgarity has been an excellent school in the past, hopefully the principal and staff will be able to overcome the current problems. Morale is low among staff and parent involvement has dropped dramatically. There has also been definite special treatment given to certain students due to their parents continual insistence, which has also affected morale among both students and staff. The principal has made great strives to bring the academic standards to their highest level, but is not accessible to all parents.

Excellent school with teachers who really care for your children. The principal is not much of a people person and tends to alienate some of the staff and parents, but she gets the job done. I have never feared for my child's safety. My child has been in the school for 5 years now and is active in extra-curricular activities. My child has excelled and loves school so I rank McGarity highly. The school system needs to require Spanish courses in each and every grade through high school.
