Crews is an awesome place for a middle schoolers. They do offer great academic programs alongwith extra curricular activities. Teachers listens and strive for the best. The most important, they do challenge their students to bring bes out of them Communication with Dr. Botta is just as quick as making one phone call or sending an email.

My child is attending this school now. For the past year or so we have had a pretty good experience. I'm VERY happy to see a new chorus teacher this year with a professional demeanor. However, if you are looking for a well rounded school for your child who is African American, think about a private school as an option, socially as well as academically. Crews has a great staff but I do not feel that a sincere effort is made ensuring that all students feel apart of the school's social organizations and academic offerings. Parent involvement is a must, however it is VERY clique-ish just like the student body and can make you feel like an outsider. Find your niche for your child and stay close with their teachers for a well rounded experience. Other than this, I would still recommend the school academically. You can have a great experience.

Excellent School, teachers excel in their area of teaching. Principal, Dr. Botta is very friendly, hardworking, and a great principal. Crews is obviously number 4 in the state for a reason. It is also number 1 in the county.

The faculty and staff at Crews are outstanding. I have a 7th grader who has had a wonderful experience so far. The best part of the school is the orchestra program which is probably one of the best middle school orchestra programs in the state. Thank you for inspiring my child.

What an awesome school! Yes, it's clicque-ish and yes, if you're a new parent to the cluster, you'll probably feel like an outsider unless you really make the effort to get involved. The parent involvement in this cluster is incredible ... just try and find a parking place for any event without coming early! :) Can't say enough about the academics and faculty/staff. They go above and beyond, come in early, stay late, email at all hours. My daughter has been in the Probe program thoughout middle school and the only downside I can come up with is that there are so many Probe students at Crews that the kids don't really see it as a big deal or an elite group. At the recent 8th grade awards ceremony, more than 1,000 awards were given out and 186 students earned the President's Education Awards program Outstanding Academic Excellence!

Crews is one the finest public middle school in the state. Crews has the finest teachers and staff. There is so much parent involvement that at times it's easy to feel like an outsider, but like in life one has to just find their niche. If you want your child to have a 'cultural experience' based on their ethnicity, perhaps a private school would be best, because all students are treated as students at Crews. Crews is a safe & stimulating learning environment. Just what a school is supposed to be.

I agree with the other parent. I feel that CRews is a great school academically. However, I do feel that it is challenging socially for African American students. The staff and administration do not seem to be sensitive to these concerns. I would not ask for special treatment however, I do feel that more should be done to ensure that all minority student groups feel comfortable. I also notice that the faculty does not represent the diverse make up of the student body.

It's not a diversified school and I feel that African American students there feel inferior to every other kind of student there. Academically I feel it's an awesome school even though there is such a fast pace for everything! Honestly I would want my child to go there because there's not that many behavioral issues such as fights. I just don't think that this school is the right place for my child because of the such low amount of African American students and staff.
