We have been members of the Oak Meadow "family" for 6 years. I have two children enrolled in the school and love every aspect of the environment. The individualized attention my children receive is priceless. Both of my children are well above educational standards for their age which gives accolades to the teaching staff. The office staff is friendly, outgoing, warm and welcoming. We truly feel like we are part of a family and not just a number at a school. My kids love coming to school every day. The Montessori philosophy and curriculum isn't for everyone, but it has worked remarkably for my children and our family. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to anyone with children 15 months 10 years old.
I have 2 daughters, ages 6 and 3, and both have been at Oak Meadow since they were 2 years old. I have found Oak Meadow to be a wonderful environment for both of my girls. They have very different personalities, but both thrive in the nurturing, stimulating, and educational environment provided at the school. They adore their teachers, cannot wait to get to school in the morning, and other parents consistently comment on their poise, confidence, and articulation....attributes for which I must give much credit to Oak Meadow. Perhaps most important...my girls both love to learn and are encouraged to do so in creative ways that work for them. I could not be happier with my Oak Meadow experience and would recommend the school to anyone.
Oak Meadow has been wonderful for my son. He is in the elementary program and each day when I pick him up I am amazed with all he has learned that day. The teachers are wonderful and because of the small class size are really able to work with him. He is thriving here in a way I never even imagined and I couldn't be more pleased with the school.
No matter how good the methodology is, it must be executed well. This school has both the right methodology and the right staff. The school is well run, well structured, and well organized for the sole purpose of providing a nurturing environment for children. It is very obvious that such an environment cannot be maintained without a very strong commitment and passion from the owners. I always see the owners helping kids during pick up time, taking a walk with a toddler, working in the school library with other parents, etc. On the first few days of school, my son picked blueberries while taking a walk in the school garden with one of the owners. My son, now, loves blueberries so much; color of his poop comes out green! Doctor, a while back, told, me that yellowish stomach acid mixing with blueberry makes green poop! In short, I wish I were a three year old attending this school.
The public school just wasn't working for my son. Luckily, I found Oak Meadow Montessori. The environment is wonderful with lots of hands on material. The teachers are very knowledgeable and personable with all the students. The staff is the best I have seen in a very long time. It is so nice to see my son smile and be happy about going to school. Thanks to Oak Meadow Montessori.
I have two children in this school. It is a great environment with wonderful staff. Every staff person in the school knows my child and her personality. It's a great feeling to know they are safe, cared for and learning at the same time.
