Twin Oaks is an amazing school. The Principal,Dr. Miller, is great and the students love him because he gets involved. This school performs really well by state guidelines on their tests and this is because of the teachers and staff. The students are a diverse group made up of mostly Caucasians and African Americans. Technology is pretty good. There are several computer labs where whole classes can go at one time and each room has about 3 computers that students can rotate on taking Accelerated Reading tests. Teachers have access to a projector in every room allowing for showing of educational videos and information.

Principal leadership is POOR at best. He cares not for the wellbeing of the students, only for how they perform on tests. He allows any type treatment from the teachers towards the children but certainly not the reverse. There are a few OLD teachers who are spoiling the barrel and because they are personal friends with the principal they get away with everything. My child only had one good year here. If your kid is up to their "standard" they may do fine but otherwise FORGET IT! My child is so happy to not be going back. I only gave this school a 2 because of the 1 good year my kid had. I would not recommend this school nor this county. It is not diverse at ALL and no efforts are being made to transition to such. The neighboring city of Albany is just as bad so no winners there

My Son attended this school for three years. He never had a bad teacher. Thay were all wonderful. We were truley blessed with Mr. Willis! I do not belive that there is a better elementary school out there.

My daughter went to Twin Oaks for her 5th grade year. As an outsider coming into a new area, I was very impressed with the teachers and school system in general. If I had questions they were answered and if there was a problem it was rectified. Great school which welcomes parent involvement and children to strive for the stars.
