To reiterate what another parent stated in her comments...the school is very "cliquish". The behavior-Bullying etc. is worst than public schools. The homework is excessive and if your child is weak in an academic subject....there are no additional resources to assist your student. The mentality of the teachers and administration is "Either the student keeps up or there is nothing we can do about it". Was not worth the money...my child is so happy to not be associated with this school anymore.

My son started Colonial Hills Christian School as a pre k student. This spring, he graduated as valedictorian of his class with a 4.0 gpa. He will be attending Georgia Tech this fall. Being a part of Colonial Hills gave my son a sense of belonging and he has always regarded the school as an extended family. He was able to participate in many sports as well as other community organizations such as Student Government, Beta Club and National Honor Society. Colonial Hills gave him the Christian start that he will need to move on through the next phases of his life. We found the academics to be superior and the teachers made it easy for him to excel. We found all the teachers to be kind and loving in addition to having the education and training to help him be successful. Many teachers offer after school help classes at no additional charge. You just don't find that kind of caring and love in many schools. Thanks Colonial Hills for all the love and support shown my son in his education career.

This school is great for Academic education with a good Christian atmosphere. The students and teachers are very welcoming and want you to fit in. The school is very closely knit and very much like a family. Friends are easily made and teachers are very helpful. Athletics is ran by an excellent director. Colonial Hills is a great school to put your child in at any grade.

This school is very cliqueish. If your child does not start out at Colonial Hills it is very hard for them to acclimate. There is excessive homework(some nights it would be 6 hours). What's the point of excessive homework when the child cannot even have a normal life? During the time my child attended, I observed the kids' behavior to be just as bad if not worse than the public school kids. She was picked on, called names, and not included in any groups. I didn't find the parents to be any friendlier when I attended activities. As they say, 'People are people' no matter the environment. My child felt like a failure when she attended. She is an honor student. Mrs. Lyles was wonderful. Now that she is back in public school, she is much happier and thriving.

I can not say enough about Colonial Hills. It is an absolutely great school. My son currently attend there and he is making straight A's. Fortunantely, my son has never struggled academically, but in the event he did, the school offers help classes for those students who may need extra help. The staff is great and it feels like a family. My son has learned a lot spiritually and academically. I recommend this school to any parent looking for a good christian environment for their children.

My children went here at the beginning of their educations. Love the school. Very friendly environment. The staff was amazing! they work as a team(family) environment. The children are well behaved. The teachers teach on a higher level and give a lot of homework but it is because they have faith in our kids abilities....They were right! I wish I could have kept them there but just couldn't afford it due to my husband and i losing our jobs at the same time.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
