Just started at this school about a month ago. My child is learning a lot. I love the home/school communication. Good emails. Clear homework. Clear assignments. So far . very pleased!

Let the record speak for itself. Youth Elementary always rates among the top schools in standardized tests. People move into the district from other areas so that their children can attend Youth. Many schools have high turn over among staff, but at Youth people rarely leave. Staff from other schools are waiting in line to get a chance to transfer to Youth. Many staff members have their children at Youth, not just out of convenience, but because they see for themselves what excellent teachers there are. The administrative staff does address parent concerns in as timely manner as possible.

I concur with the last review. The office staff is RUDE as well as the after school care staff. They are unfriendly, look like they HATE their jobs and the principal is lazy and uncaring. I reached out to her regarding my son being very unhappy with his class this year with legitimate reasons and she sent me a very aloof email and dodged my concerns to meet with her. The front office staff is VERY cold and uninviting and act as if you are "bothering" them instead of being helpful and doing their jobs. My daughter's friend has come home with lice on many occasions without the teacher even notifying her that they had an entire classroom lice check!

Youth elementary is the most horrible school we have been too . The teachers are some what ok and the office staff is rude rude rude !!! If ur looking for a friendly school then DONT go to youth elementary school !! They should maybe check into a new office staff and maybe some would be happy to put their child there !! Never in my life been so disgusted with a school .....

We have had 2 children go thru YES and another one is still there and we would not had it any other way. All of our kids excel in their grades and scores, which is great testimony to the dedication of the teachers and staff. The teachers are exceptional and really care about each one of their students. They are always available thru email and answer any questions we have about class room assignments. The school administration is world class and know the parents and students by name and often know what the kids are apart of in the community. The parents are extremely involved and often are at the school helping in any way they can. The are even extra activities for the kids such as acrhery (placed several times in the state competition) and Early Birds program for kids to be apart prior to school that really helps with character building (not school or county funded) but funded by the teachers themselves. Truely world class......

I was nervous to transfer here from a school we were very happy with. I could never have dreamed that YES would exceed all of my expectations. Both of my children have had a great experience, wonderful teachers, caring staff. The principal is involved in everything, always with the students and knows many by name. Awesome parent involvement and I always feel welcome there. Budget cuts and tough economy has led to loss of field trips in many public schools. Extracurricular activites are present but as far as sports, that doesn't happen in elementary schools here, there is a rec department through the county for that. I am a very particular parent and cannot think of a single complaint about this wonderful school. I work full-time and still would find it hard to NOT be involved in my children's education. The staff does a great job of keeping parents in the loop, excellent communication to parents and plenty of options to be there fo your child around any schedule! Great job Youth!!!

My child just finished the 3rd grade and we love Youth. The principle and teachers really care for the students. They are there for parents also. I cannot say anything negative about them. I am excited for my youngest child who will start K this year, to have the wonderful education that my oldest has. They encourge parents to get involved everyday and we are always in the know of whats going on. Thank you Youth for being the school I have always wanted my kids to attend.

We relocated from out of state nearly two years ago. We completed a great deal of research on schools prior to purchasing our first home. YES had exceeded my expectations as a parent. Hands down this has been the best school my children have gone to!

The high ratings below need some balance. YES for Youth? NO!!! Unless you grew up here or enjoy small minded politics, move to a different area of Loganville. The parents were uninvolved, the PTO was a nightmare of wanna be high society women, and the principals were clueless and could care less about community or individual student needs. Everyone was out for themselves here. The staff seemed exhausted and unfriendly, with the exception of one or two teachers, who should go work elsewhere. At Youth our favorite part of the day was 3:20 (time to go home).

Great school! Teachers are wonderful. Lunch staff very nice. Most of the front office staff are great. One lady not to friendly to see or talk to. She never smiles and seems very unhappy. Media Center staff are friendly and helpful. All in all we are very happy with YES.

This is a school that is a step above the rest. The staff are loving and always there to help. The teachers are some of the best in the state. They run the school in an orderly manner with possitive effect on the students. As you can tell by our wonderful test scores. Thank You to the staff of excelence, at Youth Elementary!

This was the absolute best school in which I ever taught! The teachers were fabulous, the parents super, and the students wonderful. Teachers were supplied with every conceivable material we needed to educate our students effectively. Parents were very involved and supportive. Teachers enjoyed a great comraderie and collaborative effort. I cried when I had to move out of state, and have sincerely missed YES; no other school compares!

I was reding some reviews that I feel have inaccurate feedback. YES does have an acdemic awards night. Also, my child is in first grade and has been on two field trips already this year. I think that the few negative reviews make generalizations based on 1 teacher. We all know that every teacher will not match up with every student. Hang in there though. Youth has plenty of good ones.

I would like to know the children are getting to go on field trips and exspand the ways of learning. Unfortunatly at YES the children rarely get to exsperience such as that! EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IS not offered here as they are at many other schools.

The school in general is great BUT there's no recognition of achievements made by the students. No honors day awards or anything like that. Field trips and exciting activities geared toward the children do not exist. They should have somthing to look forward to other than Bingo nights.

My daughter transferred to YES from LPS for the 2004-05 year. She is in first grade. In the beginning I was concerned she was going to have a male teacher but Mr. R is the BEST ever! Keep up the good work.

My son is in kindergarten at Youth and he is doing fantastic. He has ADHD and his teachers have been extremely helpful in making his first year of 'big school' a wonderful exprience. All the administrators and faculty seem always willing to help in any way they can. Thanks to the staff at Youth, my son looks forward to school every day.

My child recently came to this school. I am suprised to find that students are not able to communicate better with the teachers. I ofcourse can't speak of all teachers here. But some do not seem to have the patients and abillity to help a child understand what is exspected of the child.

Youth Elementary is wonderful!!!! We have two daughters that attend YES. Both of their teachers are excellent. They really want the children to learn. Parents, teachers, and administrators seem to work together to make this an environment that foster academic progress. We are extremely pleased with all that we have seen at Youth Elementary. Keep up the good work.

When the school opened 2 years ago, our son moved to YES from Loganville Elementary (where we were quite happy). We were pleased with the transition and the results. This year we have a big K attending YES and she's having the time of her life. She's learned all her site words already and is reading books up to level 1 by herself. She has a new teacher which concerned us at first, but Mrs. B & Ms. Smith are the best. They truly care about the children and their futures. Parent involvement is at its highest it seems and that contributes greatly to the childrens morale and eagerness to learn. We love YES!
