THIS SCHOOL REALLY NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER! Majority of the students whom attends this school is from the hispanic background and makes up for more than half of the school. Therefore, teachers assumed your child is hispanic, so they send home important papers for parents in "spanish".. which i finally made it clear, that not all students are from the same background just because the child does not "look" white or black. I, myself had attended this school many years back, and it has dramatically change as far as educational. The testing scores should do better then the other surrounding schools in that areal. Other schools have graded higher. I feel this school could do much better! The administration is great. As far as teachers goes, there are some who really take there job serious and work with your child, and some who could care less..

Ethnicity is a major contribution to problems in this and other school districts. There are no reasonable solutions. FMPOV There is almost no emphasis on homework. I have knowledge of 3 students. They are each in different schools. I rarely see any home work being done. I was in a private high school for a little over a year. We were required to do 2 hours of home work every school day. This policy was strictly enforced.

Both my children have gone to LaBelle Elementary. LaBelle is a school where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best without being labeled as the smart or dumb kids. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind and although this is her first year is doing great meeting each child on a personal level. She is a great example of a leader and I will miss seeing her everyday since we moved to California. Thank you LaBelle for bringing out the best in my children and giving them the encouragement and confidence they need.
