Mathews Elementary School

I've been in Columbus for two years and I must say I was very concerned about the schooling. However, I love Mathews. My son is in Pre-k and his teacher was voted teacher of the year and she has surely earned the right to be called that. My daughter is in the 3rd grade and her teacher is AWESOME. She communicates with the parents weekly via her classroom newsletter. She has truly encouraged reading and my daughter has a book in her hand every day. The office staff and the Principals are both very genuine and caring!!!

The teachers, faculty, and staff really care about each and every child. I have had a great experience with every year that my son has attended the school. He has been there since he started attending in kindergarden. Thank You everyone that works there all these years.

The teachers at this school are GREAT! Both my kids have gone to Mathews and both have loved everyone there. Parents are incouraged to be involved and PTA is always working to make the school better.

Our son is a 2nd grader at Mathews and we love it. The teachers, staff and parent support makes it a great learning environment. The teachers encourage parent participation and the parents respond in large numbers. The last 3 years have been wonderful and I know the remaining 3 years will be more challenging, but rewarding.

My granddaughter is a Kindergartner at Mathews. We raised 3 daughters and being Military we saw many different schools. I have never seen any school program as organized as the one at Mathews. I feel the reading program is heads above any I've ever seen. The teachers and staff are very cordial and helpful They provide a save and nurturing environment for learning.

I have two daughters that attend Mathews Elementary and they love it there. The teachers are great and attentive to any concerns or questions I have. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone moving to the Columbus area.

Excellent elementary school with great teachers. I felt like my child received appropriate attention and was encouraged to do well with her studies. Terrific Advanced Reading program. Warm and friendly staff/teachers/parents.
