We moved to Savannah from Hawaii, and this school is amazing compared to the school my daughter was going to in Hawaii. They have given her much more challenge work, and pushed her hard to learn. She has made Honor Roll 3 times this year. I love how there is 2 teachers per classroom, as well as smaller sized classes. I also enjoy the fact the teacher will call the parents to inform you of your child's work needs, good or bad. I also like how this school has art classes, and music classes (Did not have them in Hawaii) I am very impressed with this school. Mr & MRS Conden, YOU ROCK!
I am a teacher at Largo and I love my school. I have worked at several other schools throughout Georgia and have been a teacher for 19 years. I have NEVER worked at a school where the teachers worked so hard together for the benefit of the children. We love our kids and it shows. EC
Largo is a wonderful place to work and is staffed by exceptional teachers and admin. I truly enjoy going to work everyday!! T. Kitchell
I love teaching at this school and can't wait for the IB program to start next year.
I am not impressed by this school, spite what i have heard from other parents. My daughter transferred from Sandhill elementary and in my opinion Largo Tibet is just like any other Chatham County public school... I wish that I had never bought a house in Savannah. However, my opinion of the Principle is quite different I feel that she is a wonderful person and that she has very high expectations for her students, and Mrs.Woodard in the office is the sweetest woman I have ever delt with and I hope the best for her... My daughter has only been here for one year, but this year I am very dissapointed by the actions of this first gread teacher. My daughter was a high honor student and enjoyed school as much as she did her summer vacations and would rather die than go to school in the morning.
Largo-Tibet is the best elementary school in savannah. the staff is amazing and can't be topped any where around!!
This is a wonderful school. My son tranferred to this school this year from another school in the District. The staff was so accepting of him and so were the children. The school offers computer classes for the children and tutorial for those who struggle. The two principals are very welcoming. It definitely has a warm atmosphere. My son did pass all subjects of the CRCT this year and I believe it was due to the extra morning tutoring. Kudos to Largo.
My son attended LTS & I used to be impressed with the school. He is in the advanced class & I was not happy at all this year that children who were on 'that' academic level were placed in the class. The class was overcrowded & I don't think the teacher could deal with that well. For the most part I think LTS has went down w/ the 'migration to the Southside'. Some teachers there are the cream of the crop however some just don't care & only are concerned w/ a smooth day for themselves. Just not impressed anymore and kind of disappointed!from
