My son entered Kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year. We absolutely love King Springs. He is appropriately challenged and gets individual and group attention. The PTA is very active which is great. The principal cares a ton about the kids and school. She is a great leader.

My school is excellent! We LOVE King Springs. We came to King Springs in 2012 for 1st grade. We transferred from Argyle's school district. What a huge difference! The staff truly cares about the kids. My daughter is growing into a great student and person. The quality of the families is phenomenal! The parents and PTA are very supportive and friendly. I wish they would just build a middle school on top of Kings Springs so my child wouldn't have to leave!

King Springs Elementary School is by far one of the best schools I have ever been acquanited with. I am the Grandmother of two students at this school. I have never seen such caring and loving staff with a Principal and Assistant Principal that always haas the BEST INTEREST OF ALL STUDENTS. I always enjoy visiting my daughter so I can go to my Grandchildren's school to enjoy a program, visit them at lunch or go to an after school program. I have traveled all over the U. S. and my children attended many schools. I rate King Springs Elementary School #1. My grandchildren have excelled and when they have issues to overcome the teachers and staff have helped them exceed in all areas I know they are very deserving of winning $5,000. Go visit them. You will feel like you are visiting with your family everytime you walk in the doors of this amazing school! I wish my grandchildren could stay there for 12 years not just 5 years...

Our son is in first grade and began King Springs in kindergarten and we couldn't be happier. We moved to this community for the purpose of putting our son in a diverse environment committed to providing our child with the best education a public school can offer. King Springs has met all of our expections and beyond. The staff and administration are dedicated to making this the best school in West Cobb and have achieved this by far. The PTA involvement is outstanding and we definitely feel a strong sense of community. Our son has excelled and looks forward to going to school every day and we look forward to our youngest starting kindergarted there next year.

While the focus on the school is high academic numbers, they are lacking in courteousness, compassion, and warmth. The administrators are cold and not very friendly. When I walk into the front office, all the staff just stares as if I have two heads. I speak but am not greeted in return. I understand it's been a long day dealing with children (i work in a hospital with mentally ill patients but i always smile-fake it til you make it as they say) but you should always at least speak, especially to parents and other vistors. I'm not sure if it's prejudice, reacism, or just plan rudeness. Some of the teachers are friendly and it's obvious they enjoy what they do, but a large majority are just....cold. My niece has come home on several occasions and has told us she overheard her teachers saying mean things about some of the kids in her class. That is not exceptable in my opinion. If you need to vent, vent without the kids around. King Springs may have high marks for academics but has low marks for caring. Looking into moving just to change school zones.

We have been in another county for almost 3 years.... Struggling to feel connected to our new, highly rated, school 's administration. We are a number there. Not enough space here to share the balls that have been dropped. We miss King Springs. We were cared for, academically and personally. Excellent teacher experiences (awesome librarians!) and the administration is engaged and responsive. They raised a flag for us, in kindergarten, (dyslexia) in the form of early intervention. Fancy new school has denied and delayed... kicked the can down the road, until we force their hand. Grrrrr!

My son is a rising 6th grader and will be moving on this year. When asked what he would change about King Springs, he said nothing. He will miss KSE but I'm sure he'll visit often! Thank you KSE for all the great years, K - 5!!

Great school. People really put a lot of effort to make this school on path to success. If you want to live is Smyrna whic is seeing a lot of growth and opportunity, King Springs is a great ES to put your child in. I'm glad to support this school. Keep up the great work!

We chose to put our son in King Springs for many different reasons. The school we were zoned for had an extremely low score (2 out of 10) on great schools, poor grades and was far from our jobs and our babysitter. When doing our research we saw all the great reviews on King Springs. Our son's first year was last year and he attended Kindergarten. I cannot stress how pleased we are with the school, staff and principal. We are thrilled that he will be continuing to go to King Springs and look forward to having all our children go there. This is truly a testament to what a great caring staff & involved parents can create. We love you King Springs!

Really miss King Springs. We moved out of district and could no longer attend the school. Of all the schools that my children have attended, King Springs is BY FAR the best one. A lot of diversity, so many community oriented activities and family feeling. The teachers are creative and keep the students excited about learning. Definately a school to be modeled after. It's hard for us to find a comparable school because we haven't found another one that matches. My son learned how to read from there before he started school!! I miss you King Springs. Keep up the amazing work!

I have been at King Springs for 3 years and it has been a great experience for my daughter. Even through the tough economic times they are trying to keep 'specials' programs strong. The teacher and parent comminucation and involvement is amazing! When so many around us are choosing privates school, I had my concerns but after choosing King Springs I have NO regrets.

King Springs is an amazing school! I have a child in Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade and I have been nothing short of pleased by the excellent teaching they've received these past two years. I hate that we are moving out of the district because I would love for our youngest to attend there in the fall. The teachers show genuine concern for the students and Principal Keeney is a superb leader! We will miss King Springs dearly.

King Springs is a wonderful and diverse school that encourages arts, physcial fitness, and technology as much as it supports a challenging academic curriculum. The teachers and the administration truly have the kids best interests in mind at all times. We love it!

I'm a parent of a King Springs kid, and I also substitute teach there. King Springs runs a tight ship and expects the best out of every kid. I've seen kids move in during the year and have specialized services in place for them within a week.

Absolutely amazing the teachers are phenomenal, class sizes are small, the principal is a born leader. Several other parents that had children at the Covered Bridge Schools as we did and left because the lack of leadership were talking and one parent said if you put the two schools side by side and said which school would you play $8,000 are year for. You would pick King Springs. My daughter s kindergarten class has 16 students a teacher and a paraprofessional and my son s 24 students two teachers and a paraprofessional. (We did not find this at any of the private schools we considered.) The staff including the principal knows all the children and their parents!!! The teachers are available to speak to parents and welcome parents in the classroom. . Every week they have something going on for families. The PTA is equally amazing as is the network of parents. After school is well structured and lead by professionals, the program offers music, Spanish and art at no additional cost. We were planning on continuing with private schools but are now glad that we only made the waiting list at St. Joseph Catholic school and decided against the other private school options in Smyrna (we visited, interviewed and was accepted at) because I doubt they could have provided a better education or sense of community that Kings Springs has.

From the principal to the custodians, everyone at this school is fantastic. Teachers are enthusiastic, the classrooms are a fun place to be as well as providing a loving environment in which to learn, and everyone seems to be committed to a common goal of making King Springs a great school. I have two children there now and will have a third there in a few years - we love King Springs and can't imagine sending our children anywhere else!

We have been a part of the King Springs family for 2 years, and couldn't be more pleased. Our teachers have been first-rate (in fact, this year we were honored to be taught by the Teacher of the Year!) and our new principal is absolutely terrific. She is taking the school to new heights! As more parents get more involved, this little gem sparkles ever more brightly.

We have been a King Springs family for 3 years and could not be happier. King Springs is wonderful school, the teachers are great and the administration is so involved and caring. The student teacher ratio is low and my children have thrived in this enviroment. I encourgage anyone who is interested in KSE, to visit the school and see what is going on in the school. Look beyond test scores and see what KSE has to offer your family.

King Springs is like one big, happy family (staff members, students, and parents). I love teaching at King Springs because I feel appreciated by both the students and parents. Our school motto is 'The Best, No Less' and that truly is what we strive for. Our expectations for our students are high and they really work hard to meet the challenge! If you want a school where teachers are sincere and passionate about the success of their students, King Springs is the place to be! Private schools and charter schools have nothing on us! I have taught at the school for 8 years and cannot imagine teaching anywhere else!

King Springs is a true neighborhood school. I requested this school because it has always maintained a 'family' atmosphere. We have a dynamic principal and our teachers work very hard to connect with individual students to help them reach their potential. We have enjoyed wonderful parent involvement over the years. We are always working on improving and making our school an even better place for children to learn and for staff to excel in helping kids learn. The activities are too numerous to mention; our very active PTA helps keep things interesting. Teachers always have some very cute, academically appropriate activites going on also. We work hard to make learning fun, but we stick closely to the path of academics being our Job One. Our entire staff works hard on making discipline a non-issue; we use character ed. to discipline, and our administration strongly supports good discipline.

We have had lower student to teacher ratios than my friends in private schools or East Cobb. The staff is wonderful and Principal Linda Keeney is a fabulous leader that both the families and the teachers love. I was looking at other schools, but I am so thankful that we chose King Springs! We will be back!!

My daughter is in Kindergarten and the academic program is great! The teachers really help to prepare them for the next grade level. Also, I appreciate the teachers acknowledging students who is advanced and help to continue their strenghts as well as their weaknesses. Everyone is very active and work as a team to keep the school in order. I definitely see alot of parents involved which makes everybody's lives easier. We as parents have to be involved in our child's curriculum as well as helping out as much as we can in the classrooms. The school has a great spirit and they always have different activities at the school as well as outside activities for families e.g. Johnny's Pizza, Brusters, Skating and etc. Keep up the good work Ms. Chambers, Ms. Moreno and Mrs. Jones! Thanks for making this a great year 2005-2006 for us!

King springs is an awesome school! my experience has been that the teachers and parents are extremely supportive of one another, even beyond the classroom. The teachers and the rest of the school staff demonstrate that they are genuinely interested in my child's success. For example, the school often hosts reading/writing sessions for parents, which are designed to give parents tips & strategies to use at home. I've also observed the leadership firsthand and he leads by example. Since the principal's first day on the job, he has rolled up his sleeves to ensure that king springs remains a safe and strong learning enviroment for our kids. The parent involvement is equally strong, thanks to the amazing members of our pta. Through countless and successful fundraisers , our parents have worked hard with the teachers and the surrounding community to continue making king springs a great school!
