I have had a great experience so far.... starting our 3rd year.......got plenty of extra attention to catching one of the kids up on reading levels through a very intensive program,. Both teachers so far have been fantastic at keeping order in the room and keeping it fun while they learn...and they have very high expectations......Ive never felt out of place here and we are not dripping in money. I know that every experience is different, but the "snobby & not caring" is just NOT true.....

My child attended this school a few years ago. I agree with another that it is a cold and snobby school. If your child is a robot then it is the school for you. If your child is a real kid and if you have even one problem of any kind you will be treated like a second class citizen. Do your child a favor and enroll them anywhere but here. They care about money and appearances more then children. The teachers like to think they are doctors and can diagnose children and prescribe medicine. Run from this school!!

We didn't have a good experience at this school. The school comes across as snobby, cold and not very caring.

We have had our children attend this school and it's been an experience that we won't forget! I believe you can have a wonderful education for your child at this school. However, they tend to place an attention deficit DISORDER or hint of the disorder, on many minority children that I've noticed. But I do believe that the kids best interest are at heart for most of the teachers at the school. As a parent, you must be involved but as an African American parent you have no other choice, but to be involved if you want to advocate for your child's quality of education there. It is very much "who you know" to get things done around there. The challenging academic program is great for a public school. You will definitely be pleased with the quality in this public school compared to others in the area.

1st, 2nd & 3rd grade Teachers are outstanding so far. From what I've heard, the 4th & 5th grade teachers are equally as good. Look forward to the following years my children will be attending Brookwood!

I went to this school in 1992 and graduated in 1998. I would like to say that the teachers there really care about their students. They know what they are doing and most of them have been there since the school was built 17 years ago.
