this school has great teachers and students. we have a faculty that loves their jobs. we are filled with joy and a passion for learning!
Oconee Middle is a great school with excellent teachers and a great administrative team. I have been very impressed.
OCMS is one of the best middle schools in the state of Georgia! Having taught in several other counties, I can honestly say this is a good middle school - great kids, great teachers, great parents. It's not perfect, but I challenge you to find other middle schools - in this area - as good as this one! OCMS has been a Platinum Award School for the state of Georgia TWICE in the last 3 years. I'm proud to be on the faculty of OCMS, and look forward to even greater achievements in the future!
This school is great. I have liked the way it does it's activities, with good teachers. Keep it up.
This school is great i guess. its teachers and staff are nice and it has great after school activities. but i wish they would make the outside of it look less like a jail and more like a school. the band and chorus programs are great. i've been to many of there concerts and have been very satified by them.
Having come from a 'superdistrict' school elsewhere I was more than just pleasantly surprised at this school. The teachers seem happy in their jobs and will assign 'ESPN' extra study period needed for any child who is falling behind, this is flexible after or before school. They have many extracurriculars and also do fundraisers for charities. They even have a computerized cafeteria system so that you can prevent your children from eating french fries and cookies for lunch if you want to. We love this school and how well run it is.
What a mess, who knows what this school will be like, they go through teachers and principals every couple of years. If you can get in the local click your kids will be treated special if not they will be on the outside looking in. Tossing your money around helps. Lost 12 strong teachers this year who where very active, tough to replace.
School has great teachers, and good kids, but lacks in diversity, pretty much white flight, new administration is pretty much invisible, and if your in the politically connected community you will get your way. A good student without any needs beyond the norm will do well.
Great school, unfornuately they have remove the principal for unfair reasons, guess that is what happens when a district goes through 4 superintendents in a year. School lacks leadership and supervision now with an ongoing power struggle between a want to be assistant principal and the assigned principal. Looks like the school is head backwards.
This is a great school!I love it but unfortunatally I'll have to go to another one in 2 years. I've had a great experience in the 6th grade and having an even better one in the 7th grade!
