I moved to Oconee County over six years ago. Several of my family members live here. One of the main reasons we chose Oconee County was because of the schools. Excellent teachers. We have loved all the teachers we have gotten to know. I am a parent and foster parent. Several of my foster children came to my home and needed to be enrolled in school here as soon as we could. i called the schools and they worked with me to complete the paperwork to get them in a class right away. One of my children and several of my relatives children were and are enrolled in the Oconee County Public School System. Nothing but positive things to say. Very friendly helpful staff. Always there for the students and parents. Love everything about Oconee County Public Schools. My son is special needs and the schools are very helpful and supportive of that. Always willing to do what is needed and proactive. I feel as though it's a team effort. My son is in first grade. I pray he will stay in Oconee County Public Schools for the next 11 plus years. I have a two year old foster daughter that I am in the process of adopting so we will be staying in Oconee County for years to come.

I have a 5 year old at RBES and I can tell you first hand what a horrible experience we have had so far. My son's Kindergarten teacher should not be allowed to teach children. We complained to the principal and she was less than helpful. Out of all of the schools I have had children in within Oconee County this is the worst and only bad one we have found. Oconee Primary and Malcom Bridge are much better schools with great teachers and administration. RBES does not care about your child they only are concerned with what is best for the teacher and their test scores.

I have two children attending RBES. We are in our second year here. We were at another elementary in Oconee but were rezoned to the RBES district. From day 1, I was impressed with how friendly the staff were, you actually feel welcome as soon as you enter through the doors. My kids adjusted well to the move, made friends easily, but had a harder time adjusting (at first) to the higher level of education taught here. I'm very impressed with all of the teachers & the curriculum taught. Communication is by far, the absolute best I've ever experienced. There is not a problem with giving medications, if you fill out the form allowing them to give meds to your child. I would highly recommend anyone come take a tour of RBES.

Safety is a problem at this school. Administration of medication is sometimes forgotten. There is low income apartments that are located within a mile of the school and makes riding the bus a danger to children. The school system has no control over safety of the bus stop. The school does not recognize chronic asthma as a serious medical condition and will not aid parents with a child with this condition with any special edcation services to help with excessive abscences due to this chronic condition.

Rocky Branch is a FABULOUS school! The teachers are very dedicated and always go above and beyond to suit the needs for students. If teaching 'their way' is not being afraid to step outside of the box to teach students of the 21st century instead of the old-fashioned, do-it-because-it's-always-been-done-this-way style that WE were taught...give me 'their way'!!! Excellent fine arts program as well.

People wonder why we in Oconee County, GA are willing to pay so much for our homes and taxes...visit this school and those questions are answered! Moving my children from RBES is not an option. This is an incredible educational experience in all areas. Top notch in every way!

I can not say enough about RBES. It has been a great experience for our family. It all starts with a great principal and filters down to the teachers. It is a school of excellence that wins all sorts of awards. As a matter of fact, they were chosen as one of the top thirteen schools in the state of Georgia as a school of excellence. They also have some of the highest test scores in the state as well. I highly recommend RBES.

I love this school!!! They have the best teachers. They challenge the students and receive great results. It is a small school which makes it feel like a family.
