I took my Kindergartner out of this school midway through the year. I liked the new Principal and I do like the feeling I get when I am in the school but there is no supervision on the playground for Kindergartners and the teacher seems to only be in the classroom to collect a paycheck. One 5 year old child was put on the bus instead of going to their afterschool program (nobody was home for her since she was supposed to be at school) and the teacher did not reguard this as a problem nor did she seem to find this alarming at all. I did some volunteer work in the Kindergarten classroom, the teacher sat at her desk while the volunteers did all the work. Too many problems and safty issues for 5 year old kids. Overall, I felt there was a lot lacking and overall laziness in the classroom. We moved to this neighborhood because this school is rated so high and have been dissapointed to say the least. Perhaps this is a Kindergarten thing...I can only hope.

The teacher and staff are kind and friendly. I feel my son is safe while he attends. I do wish they spent more energy teaching the quicker learners new material rather then so much repetition and regurgitation, but then all public school are like that.

Not good for special education. If you have a special needs kid, go to another school.
