My oldest will be attending this school in a month. I have heard many good things about it as I have a SIL who has worked there for several years as well. I would just like to say to the parent who wrote in before me...if discipline is a problem, learning cannot take place. While I agree that education is very important and should be top priority, I also believe that is exactly what schools are attempting to do and administration knows that until the students are 'under control' for lack of a better word, it is very difficult for teachers to teach and have it be affective. An out-of-control classroom or school does not make an easy teaching environment and a difficult environment for any student to learn whether they are part of the problem or not. I applaud schools attempting to give students structure many don't get at home.
I am a parent of 4 childern and 2 out of my 4 have attended. These 2 children are 2 years separated, which now I have had very awful expirences with this school. They teachers do not know who to teach correctly. They spend more time on discipline then teaching the materials that they are teaching. The secretaries are very rude they do not help you in any way. This school has been a bad influence on my children. I would never ever send my children again to that school. In a rating from 1-10 West Minico Middle School they recieve a 3. I do not recommend this school for any child attending right now or in the future.
