I have had the pleasure to teach at Lewis and Clark for the past 10 years. The entire faculty and staff are very dedicated to student learning. We serve a mixed population and we certainly have our challenging clients...however we love what we do and we are very good at it! Check out our test scores. I belive our success is due to an extremely dedicated principal and an awesome collection of teachers. Truly talented educators are drawn to Lewis and Clark where collaberation is a part of every school day.

The school is one of the better ones in Pocatello when it comes to teachers. Most of the teachers are wonderful but there are some who should not be teaching! The principal is very outgoing and very student-oriented and is a great assest to the school.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Idaho used the Idaho Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading, math and language usage, and in grades 5, 7 and 10 in science. The scores from the spring administration are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The grade 10 ISAT is a high school graduation requirement. The ISAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering the specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Idaho. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
