I love this school! My son has gone here since he was in preschool and is now in the 4th grade. My daughter has been attending from preschool and is now in kindergarten. The staff really runs the school the way all teachers and schools should - hands-on, multi-faceted with peers helping peers. The campus is amazing too - backs to the river for nature walks, etc. The environment really helps children develop and reach their potential while actually enjoying the learning process.

This a wonderful school! My 4 year old is thriving there. The staff is amazing and I love how involved all the other parents are. The fact that the school goes up to 8th grade is great! We will be keeping our 2 children there all the way through.

My daughter began Montessori in the 3rd grade and my son in pre-school. The complete educational experience is unparallel. From the dedication of the entire staff to the individual learning plan applied to each child enables every student to thrive and develop their love of learning. This unique and advanced experience is a wonderful choice for parents struggling in school systems that are dogmatic, limited, outdated and very broke. I couldn't be more enthused having my children receive the best education possilble at Montessori Academy of Batavia, IL.

My two boys have thrived at this school since 2nd grade! One graduates this May from 8th; the other will graduate next year. They will be more than ready for High School, socially and academically. The holistic, student-centered approach to learning is undeniably better than traditional classroom methodologies, and social graces are taught and expected on a daily basis.

I have two children who have gone through this Montessori program - one graduated two years ago and the other will graduate next year. We have been involved with this school since 2001. Both of my kids have evolved at their own level and the teachers have always encouraged them to push themselves outside of their immediate limits. As a result of this, my oldest is several grades ahead of most of his peers in high school in several subjects. This progression has helped him take on more stringent classes that will show positively on his college applications. I cannot be happier about this!

I love this school. I have my children in the preschool program. I am impressed with the caring and respectful classroom environment, the beautiful setting, and the high standards of education. Working with the teachers has been wonderful and I am pleased about their offering of a quality french class.

First of all Montessori is such a great way to educate a child - especially little ones. I am currently a parent of a pre-schooler and am thrilled with this school. If you are looking for a school that is child-centered, offers an involved teaching and administrative staff, and strong PPO, you should look into this school. You can tell the staff are there because they love what they do, and in turn, children love being there. The school is set on 6 acres and backs up to the Fox River - one couldn't ask for a more beautiful school setting. Upper grade parents rave about the school as well.

Montessori Academy is an excellent school with a focus on academics through the traditional Montessori method. Small class sizes allow the teachers to focus on the childrens' individual development and to encourage the best out of each child. The school offers a string music program. All children (pre-school thru Jr. High) take part in a foreign language program. Children are encouraged to spend time outdoors exploring nature on the 6 acre wooded campus. Parents are totally committed to the school and participate actively in monthly social events as well as fund-raising, classroom assistance, etc. Montessori is reflective of what all schools should be -- focused on the children. Teachning them and encouraging them to have a great love of learning.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
