I absolutely love St. Angela School. First all the previous principle Ms. O gave my children a chance to attend St. Angela when I thought that they wouldn't be able to. The best thing that I ever could have done for my children. The school is very enriching and has wonderful staff and dedicated teachers who are really there to help children reach their full potential. I also love the fact that it is a religious school. My children pray everyday even at home. I have a daughter who attended St. Angela for 7th and 8th grades and it taught her so much. She is a sophomore in high school now and she is using what was taught to her in St. Angela and is doing very well. I have 3 boys attending St. Angela, ages 13, 12, and 7. They are not attending this year due only to financial problems and if it weren't for that, all of them would be graduating from St. Angela. With that being said, the school Ms. O, and now principle Mrs, Lawler gave my family a chance and I am very thankful for that. And I am very thankful for SR. Maryellen for believing in my children. Thank you very much SR Maryellen. I have good children and they love this school and will miss it dearly. S. Robinson

Love the curriculum, love the family atmosphere (A+++), and the teachers are very fair and informative. Teachers are required to send home weekly progress reports to keep you informed and they make sure that the girls behave like nothing less than a young lady and the same for the boys. This school is challenging and the local newspaper is always advertising some award that a student or group of students from St. Angela have won. The teachers are very supportive of the parents and students. honestly, this school brought out the very best in my daughter. I never heard of a fight withing the 5 years that my daughter has been there. Her confidence level has increased greatly, very mannereable (as is all of the other girls), and the teachers nominate her (and others) for all types of educational enhancing programs and opportunities. On the other hand, extracurricular activities are minimal.

Saint Angela's is an excellent school. I graduated from Saint Angela's and continue to support the wonderful efforts of Sister Mary Finnegan and her faculty and staff.

St. Angela is a good school. I am an alumni circa 1986. My sons are there now. The boys are learning a lot. I do wish they offered foreign language, but overall everything else is offered. Art, Computer, Gym, and the traditional curriculum - Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Reading, etc. Mandatory fundraising are a part of the deal, but the school is accommodating with that, as well. St. Angela students win City wide awards year after year, so with that, I have no complaints.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
