HI Your post caught my attention because I grew up around there, although now I live in the NW suburbs. Are you trying to find a special kind of preschool, like one that offers all-day programs including before-and-aftercare, or are you just looking for something to give your child an initial exposure to school and interacting with other children? Are you open to a preschool program that's affiliated with a church? There are many strong Catholic parishes that have affiliated schools on the south side of the city, so that's what I'd recommend.
Hopefully, other people who still live in the area will see your post and perhaps be able to give you other suggestions.35570
