We have been a Lester family for 6 years and really love our school. Every teacher my children have had has been caring, kind and invested in my child's education. Most of my childrens' teachers have gone above and beyond to help my children improve academically and build character. We have a new principal who has a great rapport with the staff, children and parents. She has worked really hard to make improvements to Lester. She is always open to suggestions and really works to implement good ideas. Lester has a fantastic PTA that has focused on building a community for it's families to participate in many family and community events. The PTA has raised thousands of dollars over the past few years to purchase technology for the school and make Lester one of the top schools in our district technologically. Our students have so many great tools for their education.

Over populated. School is going downhill. Classrooms are getting to big and as a result teacher doesn't have time for every child. Something has to be done.

Though academics were fine, I had to pull our child out due to a very poor social environment. Too much drama in the classroom. Children expected to help those with special needs. Gifted children left behind. The average is encouraged.

Lester has a very strong PTA. I question the teachers' (K-1) policy of not allowing a parent in the classroom except for parties or other special occasions. I have now raised children in 5 different states and have a good sampling for comparison. I can tell you that spending time in the classroom is really the only way to really evaluate your child's environment for learning.

Never had a problem with a school, until Lester. Lots of bullying goes on, without any discipline. Teachers are overall great, but, better stay real involved.

Lester is a great school. The teachers are very commited and most have been there a long time. Academic standards are high, as are standards of discipline within the school. Class sizes are good and most parents are fairly involved in school activities. All in all, a great school.

Great relationship between Principal teachers, parents , and students. In 8 years have never seen a teacher that I would not want one of my children to have. Principal and teachers easy to contact and respond quickly. Students like to learn there. Beautiful gardens tended by staff, students and parents. Excellent learning tool. This school has a strong feeling of Community. I would recommed it to everyone. Very good relationship with PTA. Teacher always ready to give help. Many fun and learning projects in each grade level.
