The school is good. However, teachers don't communicate with parents about kids academic performances. I wish they could communicate with students' parents who are not doing well academically. They wait until the parents sets meeting on how to help their child and they don't follow through. They also don't offer programs for kids that fail their courses, they just let them passed grade without any consequences.
An excellent school and growing area. The opportunities for education and athletics exist and are supported here. The school and staff have always been supportive. One of the reasons we moved to this area is for this school and to be within District 301. We wish PKMS was K-8. Two full years here and no bad experiences. Thank you for your time.
We recently relocated within this schools district and it is a solid school. The staff and faculty are open and willing to speak and work with you. They have worked with us and our children. The school cares and we do feel that our children are receiving a much better education than most areas around here. It is a very solid school for learning and athletics.
We have never witnessed nor been privy to any favoritism. All of our interactions will the school, staff and office have been fair and just.
Administration plays "favorites" with children. Children are taught to tattle and complain about everything and everyone to the office. The administration does not practice the theory of everyone learning to get along and learn to tolerate each other. Tattling is the name of the game there. Office staff runs around with walkie-talkies all day giving students lunch detentions for jogging in the hall. It seems more like pre-school than middle school to me. They are creating an atmosphere of children who can not tolerate anything other than rainbows and butterflies and that's not the real world.
