We are lucky to be in a community where the teachers and parents care to be involved with the kids. The staff at the school has been excellent with both of my kids. As far as funding....Illinois public schools have a big funding problem ahead, not just here.

I wish people would use this website as a resource: TEST SCORES don't lie!! 3rd grade Reading and Math scores: ISAT Results Scale: % meeting or exceeding standards Grade 3 Reading 73% (2009) ****The state average for Reading was 72% in 2009. ************************************************ Math 89% (2009) ***The state average for Math was 85% in 2009. ************************************************ Source: IL State Board of Education, 2008-2009 ************************************************ To "better" these test scores, District 300 increased the third grade class sizes to 35 per class, in 2010, from approx. 26. But $130,000 is being raised to fund a new playground. Take note, your child's daily recess is TEN MINUTES long. Your child will probably spend more time utilizing the restroom then he ever will using the playground.

This is a great school we came from the private school and love the teachers and the staff. They have helped my kids grow over the last year....Teachers go above and beyond along with Mr. King.

the communication between the school staff, administration, and parents is above and beyond. I am impressed on the response my son's teachers give to any question I may have for them.

kids are not allowed to play during recess and have no time for lunch where they have to inhale their food and have no time to digest before being sent back to the classroom.
