I'm wondering how long it will take before the school district puts a new Principal in this school. Enough is enough!

This school needs alot of work. First ther is some poor leadership and a lack of good communication on the part of the principle. Secondly, there is inconsistencies between the groups of teachers so that each child is not getting the same quality of education. Some teachers are good, very few great and alot of poor and lazy teachers just puuting in their time and collecting a check. Not enough people care about the children at that school. There is alot of dumbing down due to the type of students attending the school therefore average and above average students suffer. Overall, the school has some real trouble and does a disservice to the children it serves

Most of the teachers have been great, but some are unorganized & confuse the kids with their personal/professional imbalance. There are problems with bullying, conflict between minorities, effective discipline, and there is a disconnect in communication/cooperation with the school administration. We have witnessed many social problems within the school that have not been dealt with in an appropriate, effective, timely fashion. My son was picked on and witnessed too many other children being harassed by other children. The good kids that aren't a problem get in bigger trouble for minor issues and mistakes, than children that are consistently causing problems, picking fights and taunting others. This school could be much better if it was run with a more consistent, firm approach. Parents are uneasy about the safety and well being of their children, as we are. We are looking forward to moving on to a new school.

Though I agree with a previous review regarding disciplinary action overall it remains a good school. The arts and music departments have improved. The biggest obsticle faced previously was not in the schools ability but the school borads cut backs in art and music. My son is band and I feel that the director and staff are doing a great job. Every teacher that my son has had (2nd year there, so approximately 8 teachers) have been great. They make the wheels turn in this school in spite of what seems to be an uneven balance of funding distributions by the school board following the Bush Administrations laws.

Before we had our own experiences with this school, MANY parents voiced concerns about this school and how disatisfied they were with the inconsistencies with the disciplinary actions that they enforce. We are so frustrated with this school. The Principal doesn't seem to have a backbone, he doesn't follow through with effective disciplinary action, there is a a bully problem amongst the students and getting him to take it seriously is like pulling teeth. I have not found 1 family that is satisfied with the way that this school is run and we are ready to move on. Parents are not enocuraged to be in the school and communication between parents and staff is hardly functional. I think that it's extremely discouraging to know that you put your faith into a school that, for some reason, is less interested in providing a safe, healthy educational environment for your kids.
