6 Years here! i recommend highly. Most teachers are very good at communicating with parents, (listening to parents and advising what's going on at school). Bumpy start in kinder. With our boy but once we had private testing to prove there was more than add they immediately issued an individual education plan and he got lots of private help at school: social help, speech and academic reinforcement. He's in 2nd grade now and tests into 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even some 5th grade levels in reading, math etc. Iep no longer needed. We did do private tutor starting in kinder. But stopped once we got 1/2 way thru 1st grade because the school was doing such a good job. Exc. Parent involvement opportunities, i volunteer a lot there and even give small lessons about nature-related subjects. They welcome parents all the time, any time. Have gym, art, music & recesses still!

I would not recommend this school to any family. I have had several issues and even contacted the superintendent and not had any satisfaction. Beware if you think a small school is better for your child.

As a parent of a child in kindergarden I may not have a ton of experience in this but I have seen a huge change in my son since starting school. He has grown by leaps and bound and I believe that has something to do with his teacher and being in school. His teacher was tough and firm but also very sweet. Life is rough and school is a place for learning not messing around so I applaude the teachers and Mrs. Walter the principal who always is in sight and doing a great job. I have found our first year in school encouraging and can't wait for more. Thank You

I have had 4 children now go through this school. Although it is in a desirable area, I have found that the administration has changed principals frequently and consistently provides lacluster leadership. Teachers do not correct behaviors of children and lack discipline to control them. There is a lack of academic activities that would foster a strong academic program, and lack of motivation by the administration to implement. Over the last 10 years, in my opinion, the quality of the educational process has deteriorated, and I am glad that finally my last child is out of that school. Students that want to excel are not encouraged, and in my opinion, the better students are brought down to the level of the poor performers instead to 'even things out'. This is a very small school but the local area is adding many new homes that may provide new parent input.
