Moline High School is overrated. They have a fairly large enrollment, but the staff's involvement is very low. Not sure what the problem is, but I feel changes need to be made and a complete overview of staff is in order. Only one other person rated MHS. That tells you something there. It has the potential to be a far better school with the right administration.

Most teachers are completely disconnected to the student population. It should be required that every teacher at the HS level maintain at least one activity, club, or sport involvement with actual students outside of the regular classroom. This lack of involvement is tradition for the majority of teachers at MHS. The counselors also track kids into really low catagories if parents aren't visible. I believe strongly most teachers view their job as within their class and their tiny viewpoint of the world. I ask, who benefits from this style of teaching? Unless the students plan to live in that room in the future, there is minimal transfer of skills to help them to to prosper in the life beyond each MHS classroom cell.
