I have a child who has gone to this school for two years. The first year was terrible. The teacher was gone all the time and they had a different substitute everyday. That's pretty confusing for Kindergarteners. First grade was the complete opposite. The teacher was amazing!!! She made sure to address any problems we had very quickly, and even went as far as letting my child call me from school just b/c he was having a tough day.

I have two children attending Pleasant Acres, a kindergartener and a first grader. Both of my children had the same teacher for kindergarten. I had some problems with her last year, ut this year has been horrific. I have had a conference with her every quarter and she has not had a single positive thing to say about my child. However, my older daughter's first grade teacher is absolutely wonderful. I have not had a single problem with her and my daughter has blossomed into a wonderful student this year. I think the principal is doing a wonderful job. Although he is a busy man, he is busy doing his job. He has addressed every concern that I have brought to his attention. He loves his job and is great with the students. The only reason I do not give this school five stars is because one one teacher.

I had three children attend Pleasant Acres, one for 3 years and the other two attended from k to 5th grade. This is an awesome school, I felt so blessed that they ended up there. When we moved to another part of town and was no longer in the PA area we then requested Pleasant Acres each and every year after that. One of my three kids struggled much of the time but with the constant attention and concern of all of his teachers he made it through right on time.

My daughter has had nothing but problems since the beginning of this school year. There was no school discipline book sent home at the start of the year andearly dismissal/ no school reminders are rarely sent home earlier than the day before. The teacherand principal are too busy to sit down and discuss parents' concerns. It is frustrating for parents who have to take time from work to track down someone for a conference, only to be told 'kids will be kids' and 'she's just too thin-skinned.'
