It is a small town with a big heart! The school is the same. Each child is treated wonderful from staff. The children have alot of indivual time with the teachers because the class sizes are small. Unlike bigger schools it is hard for a child to "slip through the cracks". I really appreciate the personal time the teachers and staff give up to make sure a child does well. My child has been very ill. The staff/teacher was very helpful to make sure he stayed with the class in his school work. I am very happy my children are part of such a wonderful school district!

SWGS is a small school. Enrolment is 86 for K-8th. Being that it is small the classes are small therefore it is almost like individual education. The teachers are great. Most of them are young and can relate to the children. Sports are co-opted with Gardner Grade School, they include, baseball, softball, basketball, X-country and track. Last year the baseball took 2nd at state. There is music, band and literary competition. You couldn't ask for a better Parent Group. The kids are great, everyone gets along. Each year, we are sorry to lose the 8th graders.
