We thought relocating to this area would mean better schools for our kids. Boy how wrong we were. It is the worst move we ever made. We are relocating again very soon, which is really sad because we love the community. The school is terrible. No parent teacher communication. They say 'Sure come to us with any concerns.' You do BUT NOTHING gets done about them. The teachers run the schools, not the upperadministration. There are even school board memebers who haven't a clue what is going on half the time until you tell them yourself. There are 3 decent teachers in Vergennes. I wish they all were that way. Most are there for a paycheck, as they have been there so long their heart isn't into it anymore. You know it's bad when your children cry they hate school and don't want to go.
Great school! It is a small school where the entire teacher/staff knows all the students! Students are safe and happy.
No compassion for students who require extra help. Sad situation!
