I had 4 kids go thru CCS and all the way through college they were told how phenomenally they were prepared in every area. Grammar and literature far beyond the public system and accelerated math combined with powerful Christian doctrine. So glad we invested the time and money in this school!

I have been looking into this school over a year for my child. And when the day came to get started with pre-testing,registration and etc. My husband and I were discouraged and baffled to have had a horriable experience with the kindergarten teacher. I was told that my child in so many words was not good enough to attend Calvery Christian Center school. My husband and I want our children to attend a christian school. But This is a learning experience for us. That just becasue it says christian does not mean that. I can not beleive what has happened to us. My child was pre-judged and put down like she was a dog. Shame on this teacher and the school. John 3:16

My daughter is in 3rd grade and this school has exceeded my expectations. She is reading at a 6th grade level. They have caring teachers and welcoming environment. We like the religious education but it's not overly strict. The school is very organized and professional.

Calvary is an excellent school for parents that like small class sizes and nurturning teachers. The school has an accelerated reading program which helped my daughter increase her reading level 2 grade levels in one year. Parents are very involved too.

This is an excellent faith base institution. The teachers are caring and supportive to the children and parents. The curriculum is quite rigor -- great preparation for high school and college.

The preschool is horrible! Do not send your child here. The three year old program does not include any learning! Its more creative play.

A great school overall. Teachers are very caring and attentive to students' needs. This school provides both a strong academic and Christian values education. Reading, math and critical thinking are integrated into the primary grades. The Kindergarten program far excelled anything my local public school had to offer. Each grade level provides some biblical training. Many students score at or above grade level on standardized tests. My only complaint with the school is that the Parent/Teacher organization is weak. Not much outreach to parents other than seeking help with fundraising. The school could do a better job with helping to get this organized. Calvary is well worth the financial sacrifice my husband and I make to pay the tuition each year.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
