Had two children go through Whittier...the smallest elementary school in our twon...the teachers were great and the boys got what they needed there 10 years apart...they even shared teachers...ten years apart...I commend the teachers and staff especially our librarian...my kids are grown and gone...no one there probably knows us anymore....I wanted to vote for the best little school in Downers Grove...polly backes

As parents we were very impressed with the level of education offered at Whittier Elementary. Our daughter has attented 4 schools due to employment transfers. Whittier was by far the BEST learning experience for our daughter both academically and culturally. We are now in Canada and we miss Whittier terribly! One teacher in particular: Miss Jane Grabowski( Grade 3)-a true gift to the school! she is amazing.
