Academically, the school is quite good. I took Ancient Greek (and loved it), excelled academically, went to a good college, etc. However, I would not recommend this school to anyone. They allow extensive and extreme bullying to continue unheeded. And, while most teachers are quite good, the school never, ever fires teachers that have been there for years, even if these teachers are abysmal.

My son is a sophomore at Loyola and I truly believe that the school is setting him in the right path to succeed in college. Three of my husband's cousins have attended Loyola academy, one will be finishing medical school next year, the other works in the financial sector and the other is an accountant. The teachers communicate to you any concerns that they may have for your children and they really push the kids to achieve all that they can; you know where my other 4 children will attend. Go Ramblers!!

I have put two boys through Loyola and it is a wonderful school. My first son graduated and is at Dartmouth and my second will graduated next year. My third son will be starting in the fall. They all have their own gifts and the first two have thrived at Loyola. The true gift of Loyola is an emphasis on service and doing the right thing in life.

Sorely missing from this educational experience are the academics prized by top tier universities as well as overall scholastic excellence.

Loyola is amazing! Although it is large and your feet hurt by the end of the day, the trips are worth it.

Loyola is a great school for motivated students. Be wary that the average student at Loyola could more than likely be placed in higher level tracking at most other schools in the area; the academic load can be very challenging. The school provides excellent academic opportunity for both high-level learners as well as students with learning disabilities; however, students in the mid-range are often shorted in the amount of attention received from the faculty. Extracurricular activities are abundant, wide-ranging, and strongly encouraged to achieve the Grad at Grad goal. This strives for each student to be open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving, committed to doing justice, and physically fit. Overall, when having taken advantage of all it has to offer, Loyola prepares students incredibly well for collegiate futures.

Loyola Academy is the best school in the country. Truely an A plus environment. Their Programs for developing the whole person...Physically fit, personal growth, leadership, to name a few are of superior quality. No where has an institution wanted more, expected more from their students and the parents. Retreats for these students is a great asset for understanding oneself and your fellow students and peers. The best!

Great extra curriculars - unique dance and arts programs, music also. Sports, of course. Academics best for honors track.

This school is over rated! It was fine 15 years ago when it was all boys. Now it is just like a glorified public high school. They have no heart for the struggling student. They won't even let them in the door. I can't beleive they call themselves a Catholic school. If you are thinking of sending your child to a Catholic school, don't waste your hard earned money on this one, there are finer ones out there. Just look beyond the hype and $$ that Loyola only seems to provide.
