Brookville School Corp offers a great teaching staff. The special education department needs a lot of improvement; they are through east central special services and share therapists with school districts an hour away. The elementary offers only one resource room for the many children that need extra, they do not have a self contained class room for children who need more support. They general education seems equal to other area schools. The extracurricular activities are adequate, the sports activities are enhanced by the programs offered by Franklin County. The music department seems exceptional at the middle school level, band and choir are both offered and seem like very advanced programs. I have not witnessed much parent involvement, nor does the staff make parents feel especially welcomed.
