As an active parent and educator myself, I believe this school is wonderful. My son has excelled under the guidance of some fantastic, caring teachers. The extracurricular activities tend to lean toward athletics but there are also many academic extras as well. Parents are always welcome and are always invited at the beginning of the year to participate in the classroom or during special events or field trips. I really enjoy helping out in the classroom. The PTA has programs for families each month as well. Overall, I have been extremely pleased.

I believe that this school is very good in many respects. Teachers are very caring and are always willing to take the time to discuss any issues that may arise. Parental involvement is only limited by the parents. Parents are always welcome to call, email, or stop by the school. There are several programs in place to encourage the students to learn. These include spell bowl, math bowl, computer club, etc. There are also sports programs including soccer, basketball, and little league (which includes softball and baseball).

The faculty of this school has been in place for decades. This should be a plus. But instead it means that they are 'set in stone'. The teachers are very rigid and bent on control. There is little emphasis put on reaching the individual child. The school has an overall policy of 'non' enourangement of parental involvment. There are no academic extra curricular activites that invite the learning to spill over into the home. The communication with the home is often late and in complete. It is sad to see how many of our children are being forced into home schooling because of the policies in place. While there are some excellent teachers, the feeling of no parents allowed is obvious. Our family is certainly looking into options for our children.
