OD is an excellent school. The new principal, Mr. George Gordon, has been dong a great job with students as well as parents. Teachers respect him and he respects them. the teachers are a very dedicated group of people who strive to make learning fun for the students. They keep up with the latest methodology and technology.

I do not know who the principal is now but when my daughter went there for first and second grade as a new student it was fantastic! Cassie went to South Bend schools for kindegarten whcih was fine but after the beginning of first grade I was so glad our house sold and we moved to OD. Unfortunately due to health reasons we had to move back to South Bend area,our daughter went to the great Penn School system,she hated it,there is such a click. We were also so afraid she might be behind,not hardly! She was ahead of the other students,so do not let people tell you the small country school of OD is behind in teaching skills! Our daughter is now attending Beiger Elementry in Mishawaka and is still doing great,she is in all of the accelarated classes,doing jr.high math and english,she is a all A student.Thanks to OD.
