This school is one of the best I've been involved with. The teachers are kind and actually CARE about your education, unlike at other hammond schools. It's a very diverse school, not focusing on race, or color. However, there is a few downsides. The students at HAST are held to a very high standard, and being an "idiot" could get you bullied. Most students that I've seen, have at least an A/B average. The grading scale is tougher on middle school students, for example; a 92% is an A-, and a 91% is considered a B. Also, there is A LOT of restrictions on the iPads, (Or whatever technology we have that year), restricting Youtube, any social netwoking sights, or any sights such as Huffington Post, which are considered "too adult" for teenagers. The principal is "colorful" to say the least, which might bother some students. Overall however, I would consider this middle/highschool the best that I have ever been to.
