Fox Hill is a great school school in a supportive community. The Fox Hill staff embraces the diverse learners that they serve. They provide excellent educational programming for all students; however, with more state funding, they could provide even more opportunities for students beyond the traditional school day.

Fox Hill Elementary School, an International Baccalaureate World School, is located in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township (MSDWT), and is situated in the northern section of Indianapolis, Indiana and Marion County. It is a dynamic community with broad diversity in cultures, religions, ethnic groups, races and socioeconomic levels. MSDWT has been an educational leader in Indiana for the last forty years. We hope that beyond this website, you will visit the MSD of Washington Township website at http://www.msdwt.k12.in.us/ where you can also access the Fox Hill Elementary School website, and every website of each of our seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and North Central High School. Beyond our websites, we invite you to plan a visit to any one of our schools, and see firsthand why Washington Township schools are superior schools, in a supportive community. Fox Hill Elementary School offers a comprehensive educational curriculum with special activities and programs geared to provide enrichment, exploration, and instructional support for students. Fox Hill is also proud to provide excellent opportunities for students to participate in outstanding performing arts, fine arts, academic teams, publications, athletics, and other student activities. Very valuable to the administration, is the role that parents have always played in the operations of our school through a very supportive Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO). All Fox Hill students move through one of our district s three middle schools, and eventually to The MSDWT flagship high school, North Central. North Central High School has the finest high school curriculum in the State of Indiana. It annually produces the highest number of students taking Advanced Placement exams and scoring high enough to earn college credits. North Central High School was the first high school in Indiana to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma program. The high school also offers programs that allow students to earn the North Central Academic Honor Diploma and the Indiana Academic Honors Diploma. North Central High School also has the distinction of being Indiana s number two high school in the number of Indiana athletic championships. The MSDWT provides quality education in award winning schools built on a foundation of outstanding educators, administrators, school board members, and supportive parents. Our vision is Superior Schools in a Supportive Community. Come and experience excellence in education, today in our school district.

There is not enough student assistants to help watch over the kids. It's the second month of school and my kid is still doing trace-sables, letters, colors. Things he already did in daycare. He should be sounding out words, adding/subtracting right now. The principle does not work with parents well and does not give the student a chance to work out their behavior problem before calling the parent to pick up their child. Their disciplinary strategy sucks and the school needs to learn how to handle their students instead of sending them to the office by nick-picking at everything an average 5-year-old does. Kids are going to push, shove, and hit. If there is no blood or TEARS involve, do not call the parent to leave work. Yes they need to sit in a corner somewhere, but don't take them out of school and harm them by missing the opportunity to be taught the numbers/letters they already learned when they were three. Separate the kids for a day when they don't get along. They are going to forget about it and be friends the next day. My 5-year-old is not a fourth grader who can handle kids being mean and bullying him. A teacher and principle SHOULD know that.

Wonderful, wonderful teachers, dedicated, warm, knowledgeable. I am able to say all this after having my kid in a private school/ kindergarten for a few years. Multicultural environment, truly diverse, discipline, great leadership, safety. My child has learned that the shelled environment in which he was in the private school is not the real world. He managed to make LOTS of friends at Fox Hill and, very important, he is happy and thriving, both emotionally and intellectually.

We just moved into this County and my fourth grade son had a hard time relocating. He has only been at Fox Hill for 2 months and he occassionally comes home w tears saying that the kids laugh at him and call him "carmel" because of his skin color. I'm not trying to cry racism....but if the shoe fit

We love Fox Hill. The teachers are passionate about teaching, there is a rich diversity here, and there are many affordable enrichment activities from which to choose. There is an option called COMPASS which integrates third, fourth, and fifth graders of different abilities. The International Baccalaureate program is being started this year as well. We have watched my son come out of his shell here and we've become part of a larger family. He started Fox Hill in Kindergarten, and this is his last year. We will miss it very much. Come to Fox Hill and get involved!

I love Fox Hill. This is my son's last year and it has been a good experience. The teachers keep the standards high and there is a general feeling of accountability for the child's progress through the grades. The administrators are available and approacable. It is hard to tell the difference between the Inquiry students and the regular class rooms. Love this school and will miss it.

My child loves this school. I was initially down because I wanted my child to attend Crooked Creek(score of 10). I have to pass it to get to fox hill. However I have been pleased. They are a diverse school, and have adjusted to meet the needs of all students( white, black, and hispanic). One highlight for the school are the after school enrichment programs there are tons, and they're highly affordable.
