This school does not offer AP classes and all of the material is immensely easy for me. Not to mention the "school-wide" dress code is only applied to me and one other person. No graphic t-shirts, no jeans, no holes or slits, no chokers, no hats,... more

The Independence Academy is a great school with great teachers and students. I enjoyed my time there and I learned Important life lessons that I still follow.

Contract does not obligate them in anyway to provide an appropriate education for your child but it does obligate you to pay for a whole years tuition even if your child is dis enrolled or even kicked out because they can't provide an appropriate... more

I have no freedom! And I don't like boring old large-group life skills! I am a freshman, but I feel like I am being treated like a first-grader!

About this school

We are the only school in the area that caters to students with high functioning autism and Aspberger's. Our curriculum incorporates life and social skills into every class and we also provide classes just focusing on that area. We were recently accredited by the state of Indiana and are now offering diplomas that are state accredited.
