Bright is a great school with caring teachers and staff. They are willing to listen to suggestions and are easily accessible. While Bright Elem is very near our home, once the kids start 5th grade, they will be 25 minutes away by car and 1 hour on the bus. We will be moving out of the district because of this.

The teachers are wonderful and the new principal Mr. Goessling is awesome. The bus system and long day make this school unattractive. All students grade k-12 are put on the same busses. Busses pick up starting at 6:45 in the morning for a school day that starts at 8AM. The students are dropped off at school at 7:30 so the older children can transfeer busses and have time to get to their respective schools. At the end of the day the teachers leave at 3:15 but the students sit around from 3:00 to 3:30 watching movies waiting for the busses filled with the older students gets to the elementary school to pick them up. The district is reluctant to change the bussing policy and the students suffer. Elementary students should not be on the bus with high school students.

Bright Elementary focuses on the academic/social needs of the children first. My nephews and nieces attended and several of them have special needs. All of them progressed very nicely and are now enrolled in a different school system with different expectations. Bright helps the children develop into their personal best! I was very pleased with the teaching staff and the programs at Bright!
