Staffed by School City of Mishawaka, this program operates at the Children's Campus of the Family and Children's center, a residential facility specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents who have experienced emotional disorders, sexual abuse and othe issues. The administrator, teachers and program assistants work in conjunction with FCC staff and counselors to assist students. Highly qualified teachers provide students an opportunity to earn credits toward high school graduation, usually administering an Individual Education Plan, and assisting with a transition plan to prepare students for post-high school education, citizenship and careers. Individual attention in the classrooms helps students who have frequently failed in traditional school settings. They begin to discover the values of mutual respest, cooperation, and self control.
