I love this school! Just moved to this school district at the end of last year. Best move we made for our children, especially my son who we suspected had learning disabilities. He had been at Joan Martin for k-4th grade with no help from the school and had failing grades. Not only are the class sizes smaller which is always a plus for more one on one with your child but they suspected after first week that we were right about our son. After a meeting with teachers, principal, resource teacher, and reading teacher we had him tested to find in deed he has a cpl learning disabilities that have been hindering his education. Two weeks after the changes to help him were made my son is making all A's!!! Went from failing grades to last progress report of A's and B's! We owe everything to this school and all the faculty that cares as much about our children as we do.

My kids are 10 and 6 and they have learned so much. When I was their age I didn't learn as much. This school is awesome. My kids love this school. I wish all Indiana schools were as great as this one is.

We are a new family to the area and have only been at Simatovich for a short time. That said I can only praise how the school staff has made us feel welcome here. When we entered the school 3 staff members noted us and called out 'Ah, you must be our new family!' separately. It floored me that these people knew we were coming and knew their students and parents well enough to know we were new on sight! The teachers and office staff are so warm and interested in knowing my children and making us feel welcome and at home. I love the look and feel of the school and feel comfortable leaving my children in the care of these people daily. What beeter accolade can I give then thet? I have high hopes that my expecations will prove true and accurate.

JSE is the most caring and nurturing school I have ever been associated with. From the principal to the custodian, the staff is genuinely interested in every child. Academic success is very important and everyone works hard to help each child reach their potential. My children could not get a better education in academic, character education, and social skills than at JSE. This is an excellent school.

I was surfing the web comparing schools and ISTEP scores when I came across this page. I think that I am the kindergarten teacher that is mentioned in the reviews. Thanks to whom ever wrote those wonderful comments. Nothing makes a teacher feel better than praise from past and current parents. JSE has many great and very dedicated teachers, so your child will get a great education there. I do agree big changes do need to be made as JSE, but not with the staff (they are all great). Keep teaching teachers and hopefully those needed changes will occur soon for you.

I agree that JSE needs to make major changes. The changes needs to occur in the office first. JSE lost a lot when the kindergarten left-My child her and we lovesd her. Luckily, my son has had more great teachers. Hopefully, the changes will happen soon, so JSE won't lose more great teachers.

I currently have a child at JOSE in kindergarten. The year started off great he had a wonderful teacher. She was very dedicated to his success and made him feel very cared for in class Sadly she has left do to family issues. My family and I want her to know thatshe will be missed. We hope finds this site and reads the message. I hope his future teachers are just as great. My impression of the principal is that she is there, but does little support the studets.I agree with the other review that she needs to improve her image especially with the community. And to my son first kindergarten teacher Ithink Ican speak for tthe community thanks for the lives you have touched andplease keep making a diffence

Thinking on chosing our school or township? Well if you are you shouldn't be thinking, you should do it. Simatovich is a 4 star school with a postive additude with there children and themselves. My son is a student and he wakes up before me ready to go to school. That is great and makes me very thrilled to have my son here at Simatovich. All the teachers are great and they are always there for the children and you at any time. I would not want my child to go to any other elementry school after being here. Simatovich is a strong school and also has a big heart welcoming your children and your self. Great job Simatovich you are number 1.

My daughter will be in 4th grade next year at JSE. Her K-3 teachers were all oustanding. They each made her feel loved and supported her immensely during her time in their classes. She is a straight A student and though we are active in her education, the teachers and staff have had a tremendous effect in her grades and attitude. She loves JSE and we are happy to have her there. The principal, though quality I'm sure, could do a lot to improve her image with the students and parents, but the staff supports her and the school runs very well.

Hi my son is going to be going into 2nd grade here at jse and he has learned so much. jse is a strong school that can deal with almost anything they are more a big family then a school everyone tries to help out another in need. teachers are always there for these students and so is the princible. they do not like having any parties because they say it enterferes with their education. they do have themes though winter spring summer and fall. I am 100% happy with jse and so is my little man. they do have things like feild day and fun fair I do wish they could have more field trips to educate the children on outside life. if you plan on sending your child here and wonder what kind of kids and teachers are they are a 4 star school and waiting.
