I have many major concerns about the principal at TJE. The principal works on fear based practice with both students and her staff. It is evident that no one is willing to stand up for themselves because they will only be bullied by the principal. I would never suggest a student go to this school until the current principal is removed. I have heard of much distrust between principal/staff relations. The teachers in this building are wonderful though and truly do care about their students.

I love Thomas Jefferson Elementary and am proud that my child has had the opportunity to attend school in a setting that is so positive. It is obvious to me that the teachers and staff really care about the children. The new principal is like a breath of fresh air. Keep up the great work!

I feel that this school is completly based on favortism! If you are not part of the PTO or donating your time at the school your child goes unnoticed! I didn't think this was supposed to happen in school, but apparently at this school it does. The teachers at this school are the most obvious with the favortism. They also have a problem with communticating with concerned parents! I am extremely disppointed with this school considering they just got a new principal! I was really hoping she would turn things around!

I am a parent of a 4th grade student at TJE. The school is a good one, overall. However, the brown nosing and favortism is apparent here. If the parent doesn't volunteer or spend a lot of time at that school, your child is an unknown. It is most obvious on the selections for Student of the Month. Same kids, year after year.
